Of the three (3) money sized lap belts I have reviewed, the Jazgood nylon belt is my favorite. The design and manufacturing method allow this strap to remain highly flexible and maximize the depth (or height) of the bag while maintaining a very slim profile. The buckle is non-magnetic and I don't think metal, which allows it to pass through metal detection scanners. It comes with an extra buckle. The zip pocket is 28 inches long which is AMAZING!

I like the locking mechanism. It's excellent and the belt is easy to unbuckle with one hand. There's plenty of room to store cash, although you'll have to fold bills lengthwise to do so. I can stack three bills to take up as much space as one. With the space provided I can get a few hundred bucks on my belt even in 20s. With 50 or 100 I could get a lot more. I purchased this for a recent trip and was incredibly happy with the quality of what arrived. I am an avid traveler and carry very little (a backpack) for international trips of several weeks, so my requirements for what I carry are very high. Not only can you carry it straight to the airport, plastic buckle and all, but it also holds at least 6 bills (and you could probably fit a lot more in it), meaning it's easy to carry enough cash for emergencies. I have previously bought the same green belt but without the money pocket on the back. When I saw this I returned another one and bought this one instead. I used it for a trip to Italy and it worked fine. Obviously it's not big enough to be used as a typical "money belt" which is more like a small wallet that you wear under your clothes and can hold money, passport, etc., but it's useful for emergencies, cash and photocopies. The idea of this belt for safekeeping is fantastic but the quality is lacking and you could lose anything you keep in it as the stitching will unravel. I bought this for a trip to Mexico and was grateful I had it as I kept my larger bills in it ($600 in $100 bills). I bought one of these belts for a trip to Europe a while ago and lost it sometime after I got back to the States. It worked perfectly for this trip. There was a 2 pack offer at Revain and I bought it. The straps themselves are well made from nylon webbing. The purse sewn to the inside of each belt feels a little flimsy. The pouch is stitched with a single fine thread, which is good as long as it can withstand the on and off of the belt over time. I would recommend checking the belt every time…
