🎒 Maxlite 5 Lightweight Underseat Laptop Backpack: Ultimate Travel Companion in Slate Green (17.5-Inch) Review

Lots of space for laptop, spare clothes etc. Used as hand luggage on a flight to Europe. Worked great, had enough changing room for a couple of days, plus a travel pillow and toiletries. Luckily I didn't have to survive without my checked bags, but I was able to survive a few days.

Only used a month and already starting to break. I don't have anything heavy with me. Just my 15" laptop and some papers. I bought this because my previous Travelpro backpack withstood 4 years of heavy use. Now I have to think about this brand. It's also quite difficult to reach the main compartment. I recommend this backpack.

The upper part of the left shoulder strap, where it attaches to the backpack, is falling apart. I only had the product for 2 months, used it 3 times.

The seams of the straps are so thin at the point of contact between the material and the top of the bag that they will definitely break after two or three trips. The rest of the bag is excellent, but that's the biggest design flaw.

Excellent backpack and reliable brand. I have had the same suitcase and briefcase from them for 10 years. Just updated to prevent back pain. The only drawback is that there are two zippers or holes in the main compartment. Not sure why? Pretend you can access different sections but they lead to the same place. The front pocket also says it's magnetic, but I don't think that's true.

I bought this for a New Year's trip to Hawaii after finding out United didn't allow carry-on luggage and there was very little space under the seat. 5 days I could pack clothing accessories. It was durable and comfortable. After that, I used this backpack to pack all my office gear when I had to travel back and forth between family homes. This is the best backpack I've ever had.

I also have a Travelpro 25" spinner for international travel (love it) and a Marquis 21" for carry-on (almost love it - just reviewed) so this is the third installment. It holds a ton of stuff - my laptop, books, electronics, groceries, water, etc - and still has room. Yes, it fits easily under the seat and allows easy access to everything inside. Padded shoulder straps and durable construction. I assume it will hold up well.

I will NEVER buy Travelpro again. The strap detaches from the backpack in less than 60 days (after the return period has expired, of course). Customer service is non-existent. They are only open on Mondays from 11am to 12.15pm and from 1.15pm to 4pm. Emails go unanswered for weeks. When they finally respond, they tell them to go to a certified repair shop. Someone in my state is no longer accepting bags due to COVID (what? I can't send the bag in for repairs?). Absolutely TERRIBLE customer…

I liked how it looks and feels on my back when lightly loaded. However, once you fill it up, you should take a few Advil or Tylenol pills to get rid of neck, shoulder, and back pain. It's well designed to be portable, but so big that it's tempting to fill it to the brim. This is when you start stooping as you walk towards the plane or struggle to get into the trunk of your car.
