🔋 Traxxas 2970 EZ-Peak Plus 4-Amp NiMH/LiPo Fast Charger with iD Auto Battery Recognition Review

Charging works well. The ID function is useful but not required. There are comments here about the fan getting noisy. True, I took great care of mine, and after about 10 charges, the fan started making loud noises. This is totally unacceptable for a company like Traxxas. I have many items with fans and none of them have this problem. Come on Traxxas, get your head out of your ass!

I ordered this for my grandson's birthday who lives in Hawaii in mid-August. I assumed everything was fine, but it isn't. I found out yesterday that it never worked. The 6 hour time difference is partly to blame for our lack of communication, but the real problem is this. It's been over 30 days since he received it and now it's too late to return it. Traxxas makes a good product. I don't know if Dollar Hobby accidentally shipped a used or defective unit. Very upset

Loading great so far but WOW it's loud! I can't leave it at home while I charge it. I have the same fan problems as everyone else. (fingers crossed, it lasts 20+ charges.) This is without the fan problem that seems to happen. The main reason I think it took so long is because I treat this thing like a child, I don't drop it/don't bump it. I would give it five stars but I don't know how long it will be before the fan fails and starts making this noise (again from being dropped/knocked) but it's like it is now a fast charger and works very well you treat it right. I have used this charger 3 times so far with my Traxxas 10,000mAh 2s LIPO battery that I use for my Stampede 4x4 VXL. It worked as expected and charged the battery quickly and efficiently. The first thing I had to do with the charger out of the box was to put it into LIPO mode by plugging in the battery and pressing the select button until the LED light changed from red to green.
