Junk - Computer Components

This product is not even worth the time to review. I just want to help those who are considering a purchase. NO! My computer is right next to the router. At a distance of 1 foot. Signal strength 80%. Step back 10 feet and the signal strength drops to 50-60%. Go around the corner and you've lost the signal. I wanted to move my desktop to another room. That junk doesn't help. I had no idea a product of this nature could be so bad. Wireless technology is no longer rocket science. Every cell phone…

Great Signal: Computers & Accessories

My problems started after I switched teams from Comcast to Verizon. My laptop connected to the network immediately, but my workhorse, my desktop, kept losing signal (both operating systems are Vista). Finally, a Verizon technician said he couldn't determine the cause of the weak signal. My wifi card was Belkin (good products) but for some reason it couldn't hold the signal. I kept falling out of line. I tried everything for three frustrating weeks. I switched to other cards that were loaned to…

Excellent goods! for computer components

Great product, especially for the price = excellent value for money. Works automatically with Windows Vista - the driver is installed automatically. It's not easy for me to talk about it because I hate Windows Vista but installed this product for my parents. Installation would probably have been easier if the computer I installed it on was a "normal" desktop size. I installed it on a Dell half the size of a regular desktop (to save space). I had to unscrew the card from the bracket that came…

Excellent signal strength and speed

After reading other customer reviews I decided to buy three of these to install on three Windows XP machines. One of the machines I'm installing is a Toshiba M510D with an 866MHz PIII processor, a computer I bought in 2000. The wireless router I use is a model D-Link DI-624 Wireless G. The connection quality and signal strength are close to 100% most of the time when the router is in the next room. Internet access speed is surprisingly high and stable. This TrendNet product is absolutely…
