not a very good bridge for computers and accessories

Should have listened to the reviews. But I'm an EE and I needed a quick bridge and it was $17 and runs on DD-WRT so I decided to see if I could get it to work, hell with the bad reviews. Well I've tried the latest Trendnet 10.0 firmware as well as the latest build of DD-WRT and even an older build that can be found on Trendnet's own website. I have a Mac network and use a lot of Airplay speakers around the house. No matter how I connected to the network - WDS, Client Bridge, Repeater Bridge…

Junk electronics

I am wirelessly connected to this router from 3 different computers, an old desktop, a new laptop and a brand new tablet. The router is within 1-3 feet of all devices. First, a disappointing USB share that was primarily used for video streaming from a hard drive dock. When starting a new video, it sometimes takes almost a minute before it actually plays. It's fine, since I mostly play my video from a computer a foot away from the router, I just plugged the drive directly into that computer and…

I think I have a broken one, I had to restart it every few hours on the internet was active all day and flashing dd-wrt didn't help. So I sent it back and got a NETGEAR AC1450-100NAR Dual Band Slim Gigabit Smart WiFi Router (Certified Refurbished) and I flashed it with NETGEAR AC1750 (R6300) router firmware, which is the same router with better firmware to run it on NETGEAR AC1750 upgrade ( R6300) and it was the best router I have ever owned. So if you can afford the $75 price tag and have the…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Getting started I like this router for the price. These are all wired gigabit ethernet ports, which are hard to find at this price point. The signal is strong and makes my wired Wi-Fi modem really usable. My wired wifi is not dual band at the same time and my 2.4ghz printer means I'm stuck on n wireless. I bought this router because my home wifi is bad and I thought it was 2.4Ghz interference. I plugged it in and within 15 minutes it was up and running, including updating the Trendnets…

I hate it Networking products

Unfortunately I don't really like this router even though my colleague recommended it. It just doesn't have the range that my Cisco servant had. I never have 4-5 bars on my phone and that's why 4G turns on when I walk from one room to another. I called Trendnet and they sent me a new router and it's still doing the same thing. I also find it very difficult to order movies or play Pandora on my TV. And in most cases, I can't rewind a program that's already running on the TV because of a bad…

Strong and stable. - Network products

Great if you set up and run DD-WRT correctly. It's been 48 days without a reboot and the Wi-Fi has been consistently strong and stable. I'm really surprised by the device, even after almost a year. Edit 4/2/15 - Still working. Got a good one judging by the reviews. I have configured 6 networks with different firewall configuration levels, 2 of which are hardwired and one wireless network is a fully isolated guest network. A recent Wi-Fi switch by my neighbors caused me some trouble, but using…

Great product at a great price

I was looking for a good dual band router with 802.11ac support and chose this router precisely because of its features and price. I have fairly new electronics in my house and needed something that could handle all the traffic decently without spending astronomical money. The fact that it certainly comes preconfigured is great. You can start using it right away, but I strongly recommend changing the default settings. Even if you are not tech savvy, the guide will help you understand and…

Fast, powerful, reliable router

I've had this router for about a year now and it has proven to be extremely reliable. I don't remember ever having to restart it. In fact, it's so reliable that I only recently considered updating the firmware, which was probably the stock version. I bought it to replace the D-Link DIR-655 specifically for dual band functionality. I found this router after deciding to buy a TRENDnet Wireless N 450Mbps Dual Band USB 2.0 Adapter (TEW-684UB) elsewhere and pair it with this one. [Too little…
