Trimbrite BodyGuard Clear Smooth Protection Film - 12ft x 5 7/8in Review

I remember reading reviews and everyone complained that it was too thick and not flexible enough. well they are right. but for me this is exactly what i was looking for. I mounted it on the sides of a Jeep Wrangler under a rock slider, so thick and "inflexible" were the only two features I was looking for. I would buy this product again just because I know it's thick.

Both wet and dry install methods connected and neither works. Both methods were impossible to install by one person and when I got help with the dry method it still ended up in bad shape. (Air bubbles everywhere. Edges don't stick when going around door frame curves.) I would rate myself as above average (3.5 stars) for reading instructions, patience, and manual dexterity with this type of product. Next time I'll call a professional.

Bear in the installation. I used a small bucket to hold the film as I moved down the side of the car and set it up with a squeegee. It took a while but I squeezed out all the air bubbles. Some of the smaller ones disappear on their own when the sun hits them. Well, if you pick it up, you can take it off and try again. works well once against bugs, rocks and road tar. I put it on the sills of a white car and behind the rear wheels instead of putting on some ugly fenders.

I've used this material for keel tape on all my kayaks and it's held up well so far. The roll is 6 inches wide so I cut it into 2 x 3 inch strips that are 12 feet long. I was then able to cut them in half so I ended up with 4 strips that were 6 feet long and 3 inches wide. This was enough for me to make 4 kayaks 13, 12, 12 and 12 feet long. .because the keel on these kayaks doesn't go all the way from front to back. Let's see if it lasts long enough to make it better than gorilla tape. But…
