good quality for my opinion

This was a little big for my 65 lb pitty to handle, but he's not a big chewer. My parents' (smaller) pitty, who is a more aggressive chewer, loves it though.

Pros
  • Provides engaging mental stimulation for dogs
Cons
  • May not be designed for long-term use

Didn't Last - my new review

My half lab, half mastiff, one year old girl, tore this up within 10 min. It was the sturdiest I have ever bought, but didn't work for us.

Pros
  • Has a fun, odd shape that dogs love to play with
Cons
  • Could have a strong odor that some dogs do not like

Fun toy that seems tough

Maintaining a 5 rating. The product in not indestructible, but what is? The last one we purchased lasted almost exactly a year with daily play. This is our dog's go-to toy (and he has a lot to play with). Pretty cool product. Bounces funny which provides a chase challenge for our Australian Shepherd. Our boy loves to catch the Oddball in the air which is a bit of a challenge due to it's shape and size. But he's learned to use his front paws mid-air to funnel the Oddball into his mouth. It's…

Pros
  • Manufactured in the USA with high-quality, non-toxic materials
Cons
  • Could be too heavy to carry for smaller dogs

Not great for aggressive chewers

My great dane has parts chewed within 10 minutes or so. We can only play with it a few minutes before he decides he wants to chew on it and I have to take it away.

Pros
  • Dogs love it, and it's still in one piece
Cons
  • May not be worth the investment for some owners

Not my dog's favorite

He loves it to try to destroy, but to play fetch with, not so much. He has already made some good dents in the seams. I only let him play with it for a few minutes at a time because he really just wants to pick it apart. It might be good and sturdy for a dog who is not intent on destruction, but if that's your dog's MO, then I would not spend the money on this.

Pros
  • Love it and so does my pit who had yet to destroy it. A+!
Cons
  • Not the worst, but not as good as they say it is.

Tough stuff! good for me

bought 3 of these for our german shepard. we bought the first one at a store in Vegas and it was tough enough so we decided to buy more. Love this!

Pros
  • Encourages dogs to expend excess energy during play
Cons
  • May not fit in some types of dog toy storage containers

Rated 9 on website, actually rated 8

Nice toy. However, listed as rated 9 on ‘Tuffy’ scale, when arrived it is an 8. Not a huge problem but I have a very mouthy large dog. He already chewed off an ear on another ‘8’ toy. We shall see.

Pros
  • This ball is pretty large, a little smaller than a football, but "wider".
Cons
  • May not be suitable for heavy chewers

Big Dog Must Have. - my new review

I have a 110lb Rottweiller whom will chew any toy to shed within about 2 days. This is big enough that he doesn't just lay around and chew it up but when you toss it around for him he loves it. We had another one and finally had to trash it but it lasted over a year. I highly recommend Tuffy products for large dogs.

Pros
  • T-U-OB-YB
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs that like to swallow toys or objects

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Wish it lasted a little longer, but fun while it lasted

Super fun toy that definitely takes a little longer to tare into but dogs with scissor teeth will definitely get through fabric. Until then, they enjoyed it very much and still seems worth it. Hopefully they can continue to work on making these more durable.

Pros
  • Comes in bright, vibrant colors that are easy to spot
Cons
  • Can be too easy or too difficult for some dogs to play with

No Kidding - This is Tuff!

We love tuffy toys for our dog. She tends to destroy just about any "stuffed" toy within 5-10 minutes (only 40 lbs, but part Pit Bull and I guess she got the strong jaw genes). But Tuffy toys last much longer. This football made it a few months. And we have a frisbee that has been around for 6 months (and is one of her favorite toys).Recommended.

Pros
  • Lasted a few months
Cons
  • Can be difficult for some dogs to pick up and carry

Tuffy Dog Toys are some of the BEST pup/dog toys ever!

All of the Tuffy toys that any of my puppies/dogs have ever had have been so awesome! They last FOREVER and the pups just love them! This little football toy is so fun for when we play fetch or just when he wants to chew on it.

Pros
  • Durable toy. I love Tuffy toys.
Cons
  • May not provide enough stimulation for highly active dogs

Revainrating 4 out of 5

FAIRLY tough, but not for determined chewers

I got this because my old dog used to like to destroy stuffed toys and these held up pretty well. I thought they would with my new dog, and I think it would have been fine if I just let him have them during the day when I was around. But I made the mistake of leaving a hyperactive Great Dane puppy with separation anxiety alone with this toy overnight. He chewed a big chunk off the end. Same thing with another toy if the same brand (they DO hold up better than other stuffed toys)I think I'm…

Pros
  • Floats in water making it perfect for beach and pool days
Cons
  • May not provide enough variety in size or shape for different dogs' preferences

Can't handle goldendoodle puppy

I was excited about this toy because I read about its durability and thought it would be fun for my 11 month old goldendoodle puppy. Unfortunately, it took her one day to rip the little tassle off the top and two days to tear a hole in the corner. I got to her before she ate too much of the stuffing but I expected a little more from a toy billed as a durable toy (most of my barkbox toys lasted longer).

Pros
  • Designed to withstand even the strongest chewers
Cons
  • May not offer enough mental stimulation for highly intelligent dogs

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not as tough as I was hoping

I was hoping this would last a bit longer for my Corgi mix but she had it opened within a day. She still plays with the outside of the toy, but it definitely isn't a ball any more. The rings and the boomerang are the way to go for us.

Pros
  • World’s Tuffest Soft Dog Toy on the market, with up to 4 layers of fabric!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with dental issues

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not as "tuff " as they claim

We bought this toy at our local Petco based on the recommendation of the sales associate. It was for an adult Golden Retriever who is a very aggressive chewer. We were looking for a soft toy that did NOT have a squeaker, and it was one of the only options. Unfortunately in less than 15 minutes the dog had the end ripped open and was pulling the stuffing out.

Pros
  • Toys
Cons
  • May not fit in some types of dog toy dispensers

Tuffy Odd Ball Dog Toy

This toy is difficult for my dog (Border Collie) to catch when I toss it to her. It may be better suited for large dogs. It's made in China and I try to avoid Chinese pet products. If you can't trust what they put in dog treats, you have to wonder if the toys are made with toxic material.

Pros
  • Vip Products
Cons
  • May not hold up well to extreme weather conditions

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My Border Collie loves it!

This was a replacement for a Tuffy which lasted over two years! That is well over a record for dog toys in our house. Most last a week or so, but the Tuffy just holds up chew after chew after toss after toss, etc.

Pros
  • For dogs over 20 pounds
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for dogs that love to play rough

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely Tough! in my review

My dog loves this toy! I have had it for quite some time now (like over a year) and it is pretty much in the exact condition as when I got it. My dog is very tough on toys, to the point that we can't buy tennis balls because she breaks them in half within minutes. This ball has been amazing and she loves playing with it inside.

Pros
  • Well made but not indestructible. My Dalmatian puppy has chewed pieces off
Cons
  • Hahaha! My dog had this apart in under an hour.

Not great😞: my feedback

I purchased several of these a few years ago and they withstood a hard life of a superchewer. I purchased a new one for my 6 month old puppy and she destroyed it in under a day. The fabric was much lighter, pretty disappointing.

Pros
  • 10 x 6.5 x 6.5 inches
Cons
  • May not be waterproof or water-resistant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outstanding in my review

I have a Staffordshire /Pit Bull Terrier who has made every indestructible toy a joke within the first 1 to 2 days. Not this one! Had this for about a week and all I think is ALL dog toys that are like this should be made like this.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and sanitize
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with allergies or sensitivities
