Fragile plastic on front

Usually hard plastic, except for this front panel - the flimsy plastic broke easily for me. It's okay, a little gentle superior glue on the back, and now there's an almost imperceptible tear on the front. Otherwise, the plastic is cut to fit perfectly and fits perfectly into the half-height shaft.

Pros
  • General standard
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Front panel hole too small

I had to file the short edges of the hole to allow the 3.5" front panel to fit snugly in the hole. The hole was just under 4 inches wide, just enough to bend the plastic bezel outward. The other dimension was fine. No hardware so you'll have to find your own screws. It's not worth the hassle.

Faceplate hole too small

I had to file the short edges of the hole to allow the 3.5" faceplate to sit flush in the hole. The hole was just under 4 inches wide, and that was enough to bend the plastic bezel outward. Another dimension was fine. No hardware so you'll have to find your own screws. It's not worth the hassle.

Fragile plastic on bezel

Typically hard plastic, except bezel - thin plastic breaks easily. It's okay, a little gentle superior glue on the back, and now there's an almost imperceptible tear on the front. Otherwise, the plastic is cut to fit perfectly and fits perfectly into the half-height shaft.
