Works best for engine cooling and air conditioning

Vehicle: 1999 ('99) Mazda Miata MX-5 NB Variant Replaced my OEM radiator with this one. No problems so far, it's been a month. Driven 1000 km with it. I installed a new thermostat, thermostat housing, radiator cap, and upper and lower radiator hoses. With the same success, you can do everything so that your radiator does not fail on other inefficient parts.

Perfect match - a few tips

Exact match to the original. Fast shipping and well packaged. Easy installation from YouTube videos. A few tips: When draining, a lot of coolant will come out when the lower hose is disconnected, even after the radiator has been drained. Be sure to reuse the existing rubber nipple mounting caps, two on top and two on bottom. below, as well as electric fans. Be sure to burp the system so it takes the full 6 liters. You need to start the engine to warm it up enough for the thermostat to open and…

Radiator for 2001 LS Miata

Bought this radiator for my 2001 LS Miata a few years ago. I just got to the point where my mechanic installed 2017-05-12. Works well. My original radiator turned dark green/brown so owners wiser than me said to replace it before it started leaking around the plastic areas. I'm not sure about that, but so far the new one is working fine. If anything changes, I will update this review. I also replaced the thermostat and radiator cap (with original parts). UPDATE: 2017 11 06: Still working fine.

Not OEM but close to aftermarket

Bought for my Mazda Miata 2000 5 speed. The fit was great, but the build quality isn't the same as the OEM. I know it's for the car but you don't have to use the bottom connectors as they are not connected to the cooling part of the radiator. I just left them as they are. All of the manufacturer's rubber tabs, fan screw holes, and inlet/outlet lines align exactly as they should. will push the boundaries of cars (autox or track). However, especially at the price it's currently being offered at…

Easy install on a 2001 Miata

The plastic top of the radiator in my 2001 Miata has turned brown and I'm told this is a good indicator that a leak may be coming soon. Several posts on the Miata.net online forum have recommended a TYC cooler as a replacement. I watched a few YouTube videos of the installation process and despite my very limited car maintenance skills, decided to do the job myself. It turned out to be a very manageable project that I completed in less than 2 hours. The radiator fitted perfectly, no unforeseen…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Fine

Perfect for 2004 MX-5 Miata (NB) with 6 speed manual transmission. I took a closer look at the radiator, it didn't have two brass fittings underneath (for automatic transmissions), but they didn't interfere with installation. I was afraid they would interfere with the fans (covers) but they fit like a glove. In the end I brought the fittings together and attached a rubber hose to each end and clamped them (like this: >>>-----------<<<<) to avoid leaks or even enter it…

Works perfectly! Best in Parts

The radiator in my 2000 Miata has turned a brown/green color which many people think is on the way to failure. tow truck. Since the car is 18 years old, I decided to change the two hoses that connect the radiator to the engine. If you're just changing the radiator and not the hoses, it probably really takes 1-1.5 hours. Since I swapped the top and bottom tubes, I had to remove the lower case that sort of hides the bottom of the cooler. While this part of the job isn't difficult to understand…

Instructions and recommendations

Excellent cooler. Customize my 2000 Miata manual transmission with a little extra work. I used miata.net instructions from "garage section". From the old cooler you need to save the four rubber bumpers located in the top and bottom corners and put them on the new cooler. I did not take off the skirt under the engine, it is not necessary. I removed the fans along with the included heatsink. Note that the plastic tab on the AC cable connector must be pushed UP to disconnect the connector and the…
