🔥 TYC 2481 Radiator: Compatible with 2002-2005 Jeep Liberty Review

Product fits and fits well. However. 18 months later my mechanic told me it was leaking at the seam. This is unsatisfactory cooler service and considering you have to purchase the product and pay again for installation, this is a very disappointing purchase. Wouldn't buy from this source again.

As advertised this unit was a direct/exact replacement. The Jeep engineers made this extremely difficult as it required a great deal of disassembly that could have been avoided by simply swapping the two mounting lugs, but EXCEPT for this simple inconvenience the radiator is a great product at a very, very good price. Replaces 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7L Engine. If everything is disassembled, it is simply held in place with two screws and that's it. This is perfect; no problems so far. The auto repair shop wanted to charge me $550-$600 to replace it. Replaced the radiator itself along with the top and bottom hoses for a total of $150 + antifreeze. Looks like a great replacement for my 2003 OEM 3.7L Jeep Liberty Limited. Although the product image is upside down, it fits perfectly. There are 5 parts that need to be brought to the new radiator, so don't throw away the old one until you've removed 2 sets of rubber grommets and a plastic latch holding the transmission fluid lines in place. Of course we all like to buy OEM parts. But this JEEP is a 2002 Liberty and it has done 113,00 miles on it. So I read the reviews and was not disappointed. Not identical (has an intentional cut of the top and bottom bars for expansion). Make sure you don't mix up the screws when reinstalling the heatsink - very short screws are used (1/2 to 3/4"), longer screws will pierce the heatsink ballast! The product arrived on time with a few holes in the box because the radiator was moving inside, but the radiator itself was attached to a cardboard box in a large hollow box, so movement was somewhat restricted . Not the best packaging but the heatsink wasn't damaged in my opinion so I think it was adequate. The cooler itself is made in China.
