No giggles, this thing wobbles.

I replaced the driver side mirror with this one and I was able to remove the silver backing from the original mirror and snap it onto this mirror with no problem. The main problem with this mirror is that the mirror (the glass part) vibrates when it moves. Even a slight vibration at high speeds causes the objects in the mirror to wobble. You can still see objects, but the original mirror never wobbled, which it definitely has. My Prius is 9 years old and has done 190,000 miles. If I plan on…

it will disappoint. It comes with a black back panel (shown)

Much cheaper to buy from dealer. A few things you need to know. 1.) If back color matching is important to you, this will be disappointing. It comes with a black backing (pictured). My original brown shell was in good shape but when I tried to attach it it wouldn't snap into place. I've tried everything but it doesn't work, I've been wearing mine for 6 weeks now and to be honest I don't even notice it now. 2.) At high speeds (from 50 km/h) a whistle sounds from the mirror. I'll try plugging the

So beautiful I bought it twice

I bought two of these. Not because I enjoyed it that much, but because my wife managed to smash two bins a few years apart, effectively destroying the original mirror and the first replacement. (Gen 2 Prius - 2007) The black case comes off easily, with a slight indentation at the bottom. So if your original case is intact, you can swap it out and everything will look the same. (Star #1) Where the cable goes through the door it has a foam gasket, the studs are perfectly aligned and the cable…

What they didn't tell you about this mirror

Note 1: These mirrors require a lot of effort to fold for the first time, but they do fold. Just squeeze like you're about to break it. Note #2: The image is inaccurate, so don't be alarmed if the image doesn't look exactly like your original mirror. What comes out of the box looks almost like the original. Mirrors look great. They appear to be lighter than original equipment, but externally they are almost perfect. The leading finish is glossy black rather than "smooth" black (indicating a…

1/5 dealer price for a near perfect match

A few days ago my wife texted me that a concrete pole appeared in front of her in the garage and shattered the driver's side mirror on our 2006 Prius. After the initial shock wore off, I immediately went in search of Revane. After finding this guy and reading the reviews it seemed too good to be true but after ordering and installing it I understood why the reviews are so good. Our local Toyota dealer offered me $250 for a part and I'm sure there are other fees involved with the exchange. I…
