Not used in routers

I've tried several times but this connector never fits my controller. I'm using a hosted Linux VM and it just hangs on Accept for about 20 minutes and then shuts down. If I forget the device, it will immediately show up for collection.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good idea, poorly implemented

I've had this for about a year now. So far this has done more harm than good - it would randomly turn the device off for no apparent reason, and I had to physically reach for the switch and press the power button to turn it back on. So it actually caused more downtime than it prevented. I've found many people sharing the same experience with no solution other than "Disable Auto Cycle" - that's the whole point of this product. It does not act as a "smart plug" in any other capacity. There are…

Conclusion: Ready to use UDM Pro

This device is fine now. I previously gave it 1 star as it got out of hand when I rebooted my modem for no apparent reason. You fixed it. I have 6 of these on 5 independent Ubuqiti UDM Pro installs and they work fine. Just like the UDM professionals. Buy it, try it, you will like it. It can't be that it doesn't cost $19.

Good idea - not finished yet

The concept is great, but not finished yet. Due to an unrecoverable defect, I was never able to fully customize my UDM Pro. I chose not to replace it due to the complete lack of options. Even if it worked, it would still need to set the length of time the internet should be off before rebooting and an adjustable delay between reboots. The current lack of options can result in endless power cycles of slow booting modems. I really wanted it to be exactly how I hoped it would be and I hope it…

  • Almost everything there

Great idea, poor execution

Need two smart outlets to plug in ISP modems as in some cases we will be hours away. It looked like a great solution, but unfortunately it didn't work. First you need to mess around with your main WiFi if you have a split network setup. Why? Because for some reason you need to enable the uplink connection monitor. This meant I had to destroy one of my Wi-Fi networks to get it online. Still no luck. Ok, next possible solution. You need to update the firmware on the device. Okay, that's also…
