Description of πŸ“¦ 25 lbs. of Newsprint/Packing Paper (approx. 24x36)

Can be utilized for various household items in different sections of your home. Some sheets are slick and serve as great place holders in between certain objects. Many individual sheets can even be used as a buffer between the floor and different crafts or home projects. Wonderful for wrapping around vases, glasses and other round gadgets. Each sheet is very easily pulled apart from other sheets

I hate this paper. suitable for painting, painting and art supplies

First of all, this is not newsprint. This is a very smooth paper. Smooth to the point that it slips off the stack when folded. And about every fourth piece resembles wax paper in its texture. Tape doesn't stick to it. So I have to throw away the parts. I have bought this brand before and this has never happened. I opened it and saw what it was. I think I'm stuck with this now. I will definitely not order this again.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • It's hard to say

I LOVE this thick, smooth paper

Contrary to other reviewers - I really like this sturdy, heavyweight coated paper. It creates a solid cradle around my crystal and folds clearly, I'm so glad I'm ordering again. The only problem, as others have pointed out, is that since it's sold by weight, you end up with fewer sheets. This isn't a problem for me as I have to use three sheets of regular newsprint and only one or two of this paper. This is a GOOD paper. and if you can be sure of getting a shine - make it for your kids to paint

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Flaws

Not quite newsprint

I have ordered newsprint from Revain a number of times over the last few months and the paper is actually the same weight as regular newsprint. However, this paper is a hybrid of what appears to be "factory seconds". The weight of the paper is very heavy and as it is sold for 25 pounds there are significantly fewer sheets in a ream. Also every third sheet of glossy paper. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for regular newsprint to wrap items. Works great if you just want to fill the…

  • Satisfied so far

Perfect unprinted newsprint for packing

After one day I saw professional movers packing my things, for my last move I ordered unprinted newsprint from a local packing company. For this move I ordered this pack from Revain and it was as expected. It wasn't glossy paper as another commenter said - mine was thin clean matte newsprint, perfect for wrapping. I am a foodie and generously packed a dinnerware set for 8 plus wine glasses, barware, glass bakeware etc. There are 17 kitchen boxes in total, plus various breakable household items…

Needs better quality control

I buy these regularly to line the cages of our 13 rescue parrots. When I first started buying them the sizing was pretty consistent and the quality was consistent and I would give five stars. But the last few times, the size has been constantly changing, each time a little more or less. Then the last thing I got looked like it was the leftovers of the day. Many sheets are badly crumpled. I had to throw a few outside because they were too crumpled to use. Some of them are very large while others

Pros
  • Many individual leaves can even be used as a buffer between the ground and various craft or home projects
Cons
  • Expensive

I have read reviews that say heavyweight coated paper is not very suitable for packaging and in my worn condition from our move I have ordered this bag anyway. Mistake! I'm one of those who received smooth surface paper. We used it anyway, but not for fragile items. It folds and crumples too tight to be used for anything other than to fill extra space or fold for a little padding at the bottom and top of boxes. It also curls and creases with sharp edges: be careful not to cut yourself with it…

Pros
  • Some of the sheets are smooth and make great placeholders between certain objects
Cons
  • I will add later

For void filling only, this is not newspaper

I bought this to fill voids. This is not a newspaper. As other reviewers have written, it is matte on one side and glossy on the other. This is the quality of thick paper, like a premium book dust jacket. You could wrap the book in it and ship it as is. As long as it's locked properly. I only paid €19.83. It was sent in a flat box but it was folded at the bottom of the box upon delivery. I would like to put it in a plastic bag. The paper was discolored and torn from being thrown around in a box

Pros
  • Ideal for wrapping vases, jars and other round objects
Cons
  • Can't remember
