We use it as bedding for guinea pigs.

We use it as bedding for a guinea pig cage. They shed the first time they are washed, turning everything they come in contact with blue. After several washes, the color will stop peeling and bleeding. The only reason I took off a star is the incredible shrinkage. Even if you use them for their intended purpose as moving blankets, I assume you'll want to wash them from time to time.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Good for one off light moves; not for use in off-road transporters

As the name suggests: suitable for independent transport to and from the warehouse. Light felt fabric can tear at the corners, for example, when trying to push packed furniture onto a pickup truck bed. Not intended for wrapping furniture on the way to an SUV where your belongings can be moved around the truck at each stop as these blankets do not pull/stretch much. Meets my needs and my expectations.

  • Simple design

Purchased as a guinea pig cage pad

Purchased for the absorbent part of the guinea pig cage pad. It does what I need when applying multiple layers. Only problem is my guinea pigs are now chewing and eating this blanket. Otherwise they are flimsy but do what they are bought for. The only thing is that they lose a lot when washing. I've washed many times and they keep getting thinner and thinner. It's like the layers are peeling off and they probably won't last 6 months.

Great moving blankets for the price

I needed several moving blankets to protect my hardwood floor and furniture during a move and they were a lot cheaper than the competition for the same build quality. The blankets didn't shed or smell strongly of chemicals when I opened them and were thick enough to provide enough cushioning for my purposes. The material didn't feel very rough or prone to tearing, and it felt like it would withstand at least one movement. They all survived the move to my new, partly snowy home with no breaks or

Do not buy. Oils and abrasives included

Worst Moving Blankets. We are a professional wardrobe shop. We use these blankets to move cabinets, moldings, doors, etc. There was some oil on the fabric from squeezing. That's a large amount of waste sticking together. It contains plastic and other abrasive elements. The material also comes off easily. "The worst part was that he actually added color to our painted door finish that had aged a week. The photo shows the built-in colors. It's not a lint to rub off, we had to sand it down on wood

Great for guinea pigs, absorbs moisture well, not for sewing machines

I use these on my fleece lined guinea pigs. I use a fleece liner (fleece, earliner, fleece) and then another one under the fleece liner. My guinea pigs never get their paws wet and I change their fleece liners maybe every few weeks, cleaning stains often and adding extra padding to where they eat and sleep. Towels in or under fleece liners can't compete with these travel mats. However, DO NOT use them in your sewing machine. Hand sew with thread and a thread needle and machine the batting if…
