High quality and quick response

High quality and quick response. The carrying case appears to be of lower quality and less functionality than the device. The only real downside would be the silent alarm clock. It's not very loud. I bought the device to quickly scan various areas and vehicles for hazards, so the quiet beeping doesn't bother me.

Pros
  • Great for me

  • Some cons

Fixed Carbon Monoxide Alarm - Fire Protection

I bought this carbon monoxide alarm because I've had problems with other alarms. This detector was very accurate, which is obviously the most important indicator. This is the second one I've bought. The first is still going strong after 7 years. I chose to replace the first one only because it's recommended as the sensor can lose accuracy over time.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

peace of mind. on carbon monoxide detector

Although these things are expensive, they are worth every penny. After much research I realized that my baby carbon monoxide detector is only useful to sound an alarm when it exceeds 30ppm. Should be 10ppm. You can get readings as low as 1ppm with these good portable models. You will know how much of your breath. I installed a fanless fireplace and wanted to know. It toggles between 0 and 1ppm. Peace of mind is worth it.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Nothing here

Save your life.: Fire protection

I work in the boiler room and go into the apartments of the residents. And at first we went to several boiler houses in various places on weekends. Everything for the detection of CO is very important. I was in class for work and the teachers recommended I take it with me. As I said, when I go to the tenants' apartment, they have a stove for heating, and I want to live as long as possible. There are no signals yet, but who knows. It's better to be safe than to die!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • There is trouble

No pun intended - carbon monoxide detectors

Good readings at low exposure when CO can be detected from ambient air. It is difficult to ensure that the air is actually properly exposed to the sensor inside, as it is in an awkward location. The sensor holes are small and you have to move the meter in jerky motions to get an accurate reading. This is helpful when exposed to ppm above 30. But anything below that can be difficult to read. He needs a pump.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Doesn't really warn you when you're in danger

This is a great little carbon monoxide alarm, but it doesn't warn me as often as I'd like. I bought this as a personal carbon monoxide alarm as I work as an HVAC technician and am constantly going into homes and checking basements and basements for HVAC issues. The only thing it has for alarms is a small LED on the top that flashes when it's over a part per million. There is no audible alarm or vibration. For the same price, other personal detectors vibrate and beep, which is far more valuable…

As long as I like it Accurate and easy to use

I had this relatively recently. I am retired but still working as an Air Pollution Control Chemist with a background in Industrial Hygiene. I have access to much more expensive carbon monoxide meters. I plan to test the calibration more thoroughly but thought I'd share this quick review. I prepared a simple calibration standard by injecting a small measured amount of pure CO (4 mL) from a gas cylinder into a known volume of air (small 6.9 liter box). Its concentration should have been around…

Highly recommended! Good for safety

Although it's not approved for use on airplanes I sometimes use it to check the cabin for carbon monoxide. I bought this after my newly purchased used aircraft was put on an annual report and found that there was significant erosion around the exhaust port which required a cylinder replacement. As far as this product is concerned, it is indeed very accurate. Your first "test" will probably be sticking it under the car's exhaust pipe to see if it works, which is really quick! (Note that after…
