Difficult to tell from the description but the 3 fingers are spring loaded so they tighten when you place the phone on the bottom finger. won't support the wider USB-C connection, so the cable actually rests on your finger and not your phone when plugged in. This is probably not an issue in the real world, but it is an odd oversight on the part of the design.

I rolled the dice on this purchase and came across snake eyes. The devices (I ordered 3) appear to be well made, barely fitting my Samsung A71 without the case and not fitting with the case installed. Not the manufacturer's fault. I've already opened all three boxes and attached them to the car air vents, so I'll put them in the box and maybe find a use for them later. 1 star for "suckers" because they aren't suction cups

I bought this specifically to mount a portable satellite radio. I attached a radio bracket to this vent bracket. The rubberized plug is a strong clamp. I have a horizontal rotation for me or the passenger for push button channel selection. It's a strong acting mount with a ribbed rubber connector that grips the vent and is easily removed with even push and pull. I highly recommend.

When I bought this I thought it would be the suction type but it isn't. It slides over the vent itself and blocks one of the vents, which sucks but I can deal with that if I have to. I simply remove the holder when not in use. The description also says it will fit most phones up to the latest iPhone, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't use a case on your phone when it's in the cradle. I was looking for a gravity cell phone mount and I'm glad I chose this one. The compact design and black color when not in use give it an elegant look. The phone is very easy to put on and take off with one hand. My Galaxy S10 fits perfectly. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, the USB-C cable that came with my phone is too big to fit through the slot on the bottom of the mount. This gap should have been made wider. The big downside is that I can't charge my phone with GPS.

The main problem I had with other phone holders is that on some cars the grip length of the air vent is not long enough and the holder will fall out. The idea of this mount is great but my experience didn't live up to expectations. This holder is not suitable for phone cases as mine (Moto G Stylus) was too bulky. If you have a ring holder, you cannot use this holder very well. I bought a new phone and the case didn't fit so against the best of my knowledge I took it out and put it in the case.
