This is terrible. I assumed it would make large ice cubes but only small chips sticking together. They are difficult to pull out and then when you do the top of the container for storage it doesn't stay. I went back to my ice cube trays.

See the product description for quality and design. A small point of interest is that the lid of the device needs to be fitted on all sides in case it falls out of the freezer. I have two devices and I recommend this product.

Produces a decent amount of ice cream. It's hard to prevent water from entering the middle compartment when you fill the side walls. Ice is also harder to break if left in the middle bucket for several hours. It's also a bit difficult to get the middle bucket out at the beginning, but once the bucket is out, you can easily get the ice cubes out.

Received a few days ago and already made a few batches of ice. The center storage tray pops up a bit when the walls are filled with water, but that's not the manufacturer's fault, that's science. A quick fix I tried was to put a rubber band around the whole thing (including the lid on top) to keep the mug from popping up. I think this is a great ice making idea, great alternative to traditional ice cube trays.

I bought this as a gift because my mum loves ice cream and uses regular ice trays in our freezer and I wanted to buy a nicer alternative for her and make more ice right away. Our built-in ice maker died many years ago. For the last ten years I've bought ice cream from a Steak n Shake near my house. But then the pandemic hit and Steak n Shake shut down. The panic started. Where can you get ice cream? I despise traditional ice cube trays as I find them dirty, bulky and take up too much freezer space.
