I used many hangers when trying to hang up my vest and belt, they weighed about 30 pounds in total. I tried other hangers and eventually they broke at the weakest point, the hanging hook. This hanger held up perfectly with the weight of my vest, my belt and I even added more weight to the hanger and it was just as strong as ever. There are stoppers at the ends of the hanger that don't let anything slip off, which is very nice.

This coat hanger is GREAT if you are a police officer and need the right gadget to hang your bulletproof vest. The vest stays on the hanger and the hanger stays where you hang it. No "sagging" to the hanger. Having "the right tool for the job” is a small investment. I suspect this hanger would also work for backpacks or anything with shoulder straps. Much cheaper than products designed specifically for tactical gear. Get two of these for the price of one.
