I purchased this hat to wear on a recent ski trip so this review is based on my experience there with. This hat is surprisingly warm, and at times I had to remove it while on the slopes, or pin the ear flaps back to cool off a bit. It's comfortable, stylish, and stands out.I like it. It has been shedding light colored hairs on my black jacket for months.The fur ear flaps are so thick, it seems to muffle any sound by 15-20%. I don't consider this a bad or a good thing, just letting you know.The face cover should be reworked somehow, maybe integrated into or under the ear flaps.It doesn't offer much protection and isn't extremely comfortable on my face. I bought this hat for a trip to Lapland (Finland) in December. Keeping your head warm is definitely a major part in staying warm in Arctic conditions. My head was really toasty in this, even while hiking in -5 degree Fahrenheit. I didn't use the face piece attachment because I was always wearing the Minus33 Merino Wool Midweight Neck Gaiter. These are perfect combination in freezing temperatures. I didn't have a problem with shedding like I read in some of the other reviews.

Our son loves ushanka hats. He's been wearing them since he was a little boy. We bought his this hat for Christmas and he really liked the color and the mask accessory.

I wore it up Ice House Canyon on my way to Ontario Peak. It was in the low teen with heavy wind my head was the warmest part of my body. The only reason not for five stars it's the mask that goes over your face connects very tightly around your ears I did not see an area for it to attach on the inside of the Hat. Also the front eyeshield is sown in place and does not cover your eyes.

I love to use this hat during the winter, especially when I'm in the downtown areas of Chicago. The hat is definitely warm and the fur is incredibly soft. I don't feel the wind, I can feel comfortable wearing it, and it does its job well. The face mask is a huge letdown, however. It is too small for my face and it gets confusing on how to put it on. Amazing hat so warm i had to keep taking it off the other day at 32 degrees. The rabbit fur on the photo does look thicker then on the hat that I received however I realize that all rabbits grow their fur different and the company cant predict how thick their fur will be on each hat. Great product. Great price.

Nice hat. No ear holes but that’s no big deal for me. Purchase this to ride my Harley in Texas winter when it get down to 60 degrees. I wear a size 7 1/4 hat and this is a bit big. Overall I’m happy with it.

I have a very large head and it needs to be larger. I am hoping it will stretch with time. I wish the company had a larger size available. Then, it would be great.O, also, it could use a place to hold the little face mask attachment so it was there whenever you needed it. Being a separate piece, I am afraid it will loose itself before it is needed.

If you want to stay REALLY warm, you can’t beat real fur. I was concerned this wouldn’t be real fur or would be shabby fur, which would speak to poor treatment of the animal, but it’s neither of those. it was smaller than what I thought it would be, but it still fit my dad well and it's good protection for the winter The hat may not be versatile enough to match all types of winter clothing or accessories.

Very warm - kept me warm enough - almost to warm even in below freezing temps (well below) while on a whale watching open air speed boat going 25+ mph. Actually the top of my head was a little sweaty when I took it off at the end of the trip. Didn't use the thin little piece that was the mouth and nose cover though -- instead I was using a Polartec Fleece Neck Gaitor to protect those areas.

Can’t really wear it on the street because of the hunter orange color. Pictures made it look a bit more reddish. Other than that an ok hat. I would buy it again in a different color.

Was so excited to get this hat. but it's too large. It goes down in my eyes . And I don't like how there's no place for the face mask to hook to, u basically have to hook it to your ears Wich hurts and pulls down on your ears.
