Simple and Works - Turn Signals

Decided to add a bit of 'pop' to the custom LED on the PCB Third stop light project I've worked on and it definitely lived up to expectations. Very easy to connect and I really like that the module is flooded. Setting this thing up is easy too...literally as easy as a caveman can do. (Before installing I reduced the amount of flash, but still...if I didn't have to worry about people I'd leave it as it is in the video.)

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No Power

Great replacement for Whelen brake warning system

As Whelen and Fed Sig have discontinued their brake warning products I needed an alternative and this works well. By connecting brakes to the switch I was able to adjust the potentiometers to have the same effect. Installation was easy, but WHY they use white for the floor instead of black is annoying. I hate proprietary/non-standard wire colors. I've included a picture of the device next to the AA battery for size perspective and installation instructions.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • small items

DOA, like many others.

As other reviews have complained about, this was DOA. At first it just glowed constantly, but soon stopped working. I bought this to replace a working lower rated turn signal. I needed one with a higher amperage for the more powerful lamps I was going to install. I was hoping this would fill the bill as it's the only thing that can handle the electricity. But that's DOA. I posted a video of my original working flasher and it doesn't do anything. As a load I use an RV LED light.

Quick and easy with parts

I bought this for my Kawasaki Versys 650. It was fairly easy to install as the wiring to the brake lights was exposed after the seat was removed. It was compact enough to be hidden in the space behind/under the factory wiring harness. The dials were a bit sensitive to adjustment and only need a minute of turning to get the setting I prefer. In the near future I will probably find a way to seal the dials against moisture, as this was built into the wheel. I wouldn't worry about moisture if itโ€ฆ

I wish I had found this sooner, much better than others I've had.

The only negative I can say is that I didn't find it before. This thing is absolutely amazing, and what makes it so damn cool is that you can adjust the flash speed and flash duration before it gets stuck. Personally, I'm not a fan of other brands that flash 3 times faster and 3 times slower and then stay on. it seems a stretch to me. I like it because I can set it to fast speed but only for a second and then solid. Full recommendation and will definitely be adding this to the brake lights onโ€ฆ

During work - turn signals

Installed two weeks ago and so far works as intended. The easiest way to adjust the settings is to use a spare 12V LED light (rear light, side light, etc.) and a battery or charger. word of security. should only be used for a third high mounted brake light and NOT for a vehicle brake light for safety reasons. If the turn signal fails, you will be left without brake lights and risk a rear-end collision. Must be installed with a separate built-in 2A fuse. If the flash burns out, the car's brakeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Suitable

I've wanted to install it for a long time. I just installed a luggage rack and the tire is partially obscuring my left passenger tail light more than I would like. Anything that can catch the attention of the driver behind me is more than good (especially these days when people write and drive so much). I took the extra step of connecting the male and female connectors to the product wiring as well as the original wiring to the 3rd brake light so I can easily replace it (or be notified if theโ€ฆ

First test very good

Installed on my Kawasaki street bike. I was initially disappointed when I adjusted the potentiometers and found that no matter where they were there was a 4 second delay before the brake light came on and flashed. I thought this might be a problem but I realized that when adjusting the brake stays on and the adjustment range becomes very sensitive and works very well allowing me to adjust very easily without lag. As far as installation goes, it's pretty easy if you're good with circuits. It'sโ€ฆ
