Also suitable for swimming pool lighting.

I bought these to replace the halogen bulbs in my Pentair underwater pool lights. The pool guy said I should replace the entire plumbing in both the pool and spa. He also said that I should use lamps made for Pentair flashlights. nope These LEDs are not only cheaper than halogen lamps, they are also brighter and heat up less. You've been working for a month now. No problems and they look great.

Excellent lamps with a criticism

I've wanted LED lamps of this size for a long time, so I grabbed them as soon as I saw them. They're bright, the design is better than the halogen bulbs they replaced, and the price was good. My only complaint and the reason for the 4/5 stars is some color differences between the bulbs and how they can hit the surface. I thought going back to the less efficient halogens would bother me enough, but after a few weeks I don't really notice it anymore. When I think about it, I notice it (like when…

A decent lightbulb with a significant downside in some applications.

The bulbs are bright enough, but anyone using them as a replacement for halogen ceiling fan bulbs should note that if the ceiling fan is on but you want to turn off the ceiling fan bulb, you can't turn the light off completely. Since these are LED lights, they also burn with passive current. So in my ceiling fan I can't completely turn off the lightbulb and turn on the fan. The light will dim but not turn off completely unless you turn off power to the fan completely. This prevents you from…
