I just love this gown. I am really surprised by the quality of the fabric and the craftsmanship. The blue is the correct PhD blue and the gold piping really looks nice. The cuffs on the sleeves really sets this apart. The fabric is a light weight and not too thin. It does run a little large in the body area but I would not order a smaller size since it fits across the shoulder per the sizing chart. I was so excited to see that the robe came so early! I had been hearing & reading nightmare stories about the robes taking up to 2 weeks and that when they did arrive, they were either too large or too tight. I can say that mine fits perfectly! I am 5"6 so I ordered a size 51. The length is perfect. I'm very happy with this purchase. Now graduation feels real!

Ordered this for my fiance since he missed out on his graduation because of covid. I was pretty surprise. Quality seems well. The gown is a little heavy (just so you are aware). Very happy with the purchase. My fiance loves it. Fits well. I ordered a 54 I believe. He is about 5 feet 10 inches. Can't beat the price. The one from the school was six times more expensive and they look pretty similar. I'm very happy with my product. I highly recommend.

So disappiointed in this robe. What you can't see in the pictures on ebay is the tapered arm sleeves inside the arms. See my photo. They are tight. Poorly constructed, too high up into the arm for comfort, and the gown itself comes to my knees, even though I ordered it for my height. It will be going back. On the upside, the piping is nice.

Very well made and as nice as the much more expensive brands. Impressive to look at, and made with heavy duty material. I am a larger man and it fit very nicely. A second one of the same size that I purchased for a colleague who is skinny also seemed to hang and fit very nicely, so these robes will be perfect whether you are 180 pounds or 300 pounds. Better than expected. Well made and fits well. It could be five stars if inner sleeve wasn't too tight (they should used elastic materials to fit thicker arms).

As anticipated I needed to have this gown adjusted by a tailor; it was quite wide. However, the quality was high and it saved me hundreds of dollars over the one I would have ordered through my university. I am a happy camper.

i am a tall girl and curvy. I first ordered the plus size FF but returned it because it was too big on me. This one fits well with plenty room in it. Well made and beyond my expectation regarding fabric. I got a lot of complements on my graduation day. Wish if it has pocket to put my phone. Price is excellent compared to the university gown and it is nicer. Returning for the first one went smooth as they promised. Highly recommend it.

I’m so glad I ordered this gown instead of buying or renting from the school. The rented school gowns weren’t nearly as nice as this one. I was worried that I wouldn’t be dressed the same as everyone else but apparently there is great variety among PhD robes. No one looked the same, so I didn’t look out of place either.

Like other reviews say, this is a well made garment except the inner sleeves are too tight and too short. Also, the gown is excessively wide. However, with some modifications this gown should serve me well.My gown does not have an attachment point for my hood either.

I would recommend ordering up a size so that the gown will not be too short. This gown is so much better than the regular student gowns. It looks much more professional.

The quality of the robe is outstanding. That's my feedback. The 57FF Sleeves need to be 27" (NOT 24"). So I have to send it back!

These gowns can easily cost near $800 when custom. Of course, this gown is missing the school emblems, but otherwise looks like them. In fact, I find some of the "custom" ones with thick fabric too heavy and hot, but this actually allowed a bit of breathing, which is great during outdoor convocation and graduation ceremonies in summer and spring! Finally, the blue velvet with gold piping matches my tam and hood perfectly, leading to some nice compliments.

This robe was very roomy and as someone stated, "looks very official". My original doctoral gown was paper thin and looked cheap. This one does not look cheap but it does run large. Since I need one every year for graduation, it was a great deal!
