This device is an extra layer of protection. If someone is quietly trying to get in - I may not even know what they were trying to do - but with this product, if they just lightly push on the door, I'll hear that alarm! I could see myself using it when I travel.

They almost exploded and burned my house down! Initially I thought it might have been the batteries I was using which were Amazon branded but when I replaced them the same smell of fire came back. They're broken and he wasn't even active when the smell hit. I just put the batteries in, that's all. NOT RECOMMENDED!

This product worked beautifully! The only issue we had was user error - I forgot the batteries in one of them! But we slept a lot better knowing that if Mom tried to leave, we would know. Also, we've learned to hold her by the door during the day in case she tries to leave when we're in another room. The product really helped us and my mother 3-4 times during the holidays. Thank you!

I'm a flight attendant. This gives me an extra sense of security when in a hotel during a layover. There have been reports of people's rooms being broken into over the years. I sleep a lot better under the door with it. When it starts, it's LOUD. My only issue is that the one I bought last year accidentally turned on and as soon as I turned it off after turning it back on the alarm went off. It never restarts. Just bought a new one to replace it.

to alert you when someone enters your home at night this does the job. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and was looking for an extra sense of security as I live on the first floor. The product requires a 9V battery for each plug. It was easy to install. Mine is on a rug to keep it from slipping. I forgot I had set it up and the sound startled me when I opened the door. The sound is significant. I'm taking off a star because the plastic feels cheap and is likely to break easily.

I ordered this product for two reasons. One I'll be traveling with soon and I want to use it in a hotel room. Another reason is that we have an adventurous grandson and we don't want him answering the door when no one is looking. First, the package was delivered before the delivery time. This thing is LOUD. Nobody will break into your house or room with this thing. I bought this as I am a flight attendant and love the extra security it provides while I sleep. This thing will definitely alert neighboring rooms and I highly doubt anyone trying to hack will keep trying after it works. I bought 3 of them.
