Above average protection without being bulky

I'm a long time UAG fan. I've used UAG on many phones and have always been impressed with the high level of protection in a sleek form factor. UAG cases are well thought out and generally a great combination of good looks and above average protection. All of my phones have survived multiple falls, including many from trailer cabs onto concrete or tarmac, as well as many shorter falls. Perhaps the worst damage was a new scratch on my UAG body. Cell phones have always survived falls unscathed…

  • Handy

  • So far so good

Good case for some. Not for me. I sent it back.

I opened the box and attached this case to my iPad Pro and was amazed. It protects well, with two tilt positions for desktop use, one for typing and one for browsing. Then I tried using the iPad while actually holding it in my hands. FAIL. The flip cover doesn't detach from the protective frame, so you either try to hold it against the iPad's body or it hangs on the frame. This is not clear from the product description. I should have read the reviews as this 'feature' is mentioned by others…

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

I liked it until I needed it

Well I think I should have bought AppleCare+ instead of this case. My iPad Pro 11 ran for a year and a half without being dropped, then it fell out of my car door pocket onto the concrete below, leaving it at 18 inches or less, and the screen shattered as a result. I was under the wrong impression that this case would offer more protection with its rather thick edges, but it's possible that it's made of a relatively hard material that allows for the transfer of impact energy to the iPad. Now…

Can damage the protective film. But well.

Tough as all UTG products. Good place to put a pencil. Two complaints (I think) one, she definitely doesn't want to stand in any of her supported positions. I press the screen to do something and BAM, kicks and punches on the table but oh well. I'm also not sure if the screen protector or the case is to blame, but I had to trim the edges of the screen protector with a razor to fit the edges of the case. Without trimming, it curled up and detached from the screen. I use matte protectors in…

Not what I thought.

I'm a huge UAG fan and have been using their cases on my phones for years. Of course, when I saw this for the iPad Pro, I thought yes, I need it. It looks like the picture, but once installed, the lid covering the case seems a bit flimsy and the buttons on the iPad are awkward to use. What really drew me to another case was how the stand worked. It only works on level ground and is unstable at best. I don't recommend this case if you use the buttons very little and need to leave it alone. I…

Great looks, great protection.

I had a case like this on an old iPad. I recently bought a new iPad Pro and since I liked the case on my old iPad I decided to buy a new one for my new iPad. It fits well and looks and feels the same as my old case. One small issue is that the old iPad uses a lightweight connector and the new USB C, which is a big improvement, but the cover gets in the way of the USB C connector. I solved this by cutting off a small piece near the connector. It's really a small issue and I'm still happy with…

Pros

Offers great protection but isn't too bulky

When I switched to the Ipad 11 Pro I needed a good case and bought this case because I had the same one for my Ipad 10.5 Pro. It looks great and has good features. It's easy to install and remove on your iPad. One of the reasons I bought this case for my Ipad Pro 10.5 is that it had a secure Apple Pencil holder. It also has a pencil slot which I use, it's also secure yet easy to take out the pencil to use and put the pencil back in smoothly and easily. A feature both cases had were small holes…

The cover is NOT removable!

I have a love/hate relationship with folio cases but the main benefit of this case for me was that I read somewhere that it has a removable cover. What is also indicated on the packaging, see fig. THE COVER IS NOT REMOVABLE! So I'm really angry about that. I contacted customer service and was finally told that their packaging can be used for multiple products and I can return it if I want. This is nonsense, because the packaging is specially made for the iPad Pro 11! Externally, the case makes…

Find the best value for money, that's not the point!

The only screen protector that will work with this case is from UAG and is an overpriced rip off. Not a lifetime replacement when everyone else in this price range does. So beware and you will need a screen protector. It doesn't hold the tablet in different positions, but you can get it to work. I really like the material and design of the Apple Pencil. The material does a good job of protecting edges etc. I would not recommend this case when the best is available and as UAG refuse to honor the
