Description of ☕️ Powerful Urnex Dezcal Descale Activator - Cleanse & Remove Scale from Coffee Machines, Espresso, Boilers, Heating Elements & More - 900g Bottle

UNIVERSALLY COMPATIBLE DESCALER - This product can be used to descale Keurig machines, as well as Nespresso, Breville, Jura, Delonghi and other drip coffee makers, espresso machines, superautomatics, and kettles. BETTER THAN VINEGAR - This descaler is more effective at removing limescale than vinegar, works faster than vinegar, and is odorless. MAINTAIN YOUR COFFEE EQUIPMENT - Descaling extends the lifespan of your machine, helping to prevent damage to heating elements, corrosion, and component malfunctions. DRINK BETTER TASTING COFFEE - Descaling removes limescale buildup from your coffee maker; if not removed, scale prevents machines from reaching optimal water temperatures. EASY TO USE - Powder format is ease to dose. Use 1 oz of descaling powder per 32 oz of capacity in your machine's water reservoir.

Very effective cleaner for coffee and espresso machines

Coincidentally, the appearance of this cleaner (quick as always) coincided with my coffee machine (ninja coffee machine) telling me that it was time for a cleaning was. The perfect time to try new products. I was a bit concerned that one of the reviewers stated that they have to use very hot water to dissolve the cleaner before pouring it into the coffee maker. I used lukewarm water with the recommended amount of cleanser and it dissolved very well, maybe with a few crystals (but I wasn't…

The best ratio of price and quality.

I have used this product before but it was packaged in disposable envelopes. That bulky packaging makes measuring out the right dose a bit more difficult, but it's easy if you have a kitchen scale. My scale has both ounces (oz.) and grams (g.) on the dial. The dezcal label says 3.5 ounces or 100g should be used for 1/2 gallon = 4 pints (64 ounces). My coffee maker's carafe holds about three pints, or 48 ounces, of water. So, 3 pints / 4 pints = 0.75; therefore 0.75 x 100 g = 75 g of Descal…

Works great with Breville Barista Express

I use this along with other Urnex products (Cafiza and Grindz) after watching various YouTube videos on regular maintenance/cleaning of the Breville Barista Express 870XL machine. My machine started to run really bad after about 12 months of use (1-2 double shots a day). During that time I have only used Breville cleaning tablets and changed the water filters as instructed. After thoroughly cleaning the machine (as detailed in the manual) with all Urnex products including those listed above…

Will not work with Breville Infuser

Purchased for my Breville Infuser machine. I used to descale my car and use Breville's free package. Worked great with no problems. I used this one thinking it was a good deal for the amount I'm getting. I mix 1 oz and leave it in the water tank for about 45 minutes. When it came time to start the water I for some reason thought the pump had failed because it wasn't able to flow properly through the group head and hot water spout and was producing very little vapor. The pump can hardly be…

This works very well. It doesn't harm my coffee system.

I've read all the reviews of descaling products and found that they only remove limescale or processing equipment from the water. Unfortunately, these deposits build up and prevent the heating element from heating the water quickly. I usually use a combination of vinegar but was hoping a branded descaler would be more effective. Also, I'm not sure if the vinegar solution I used was gentle on the inner workings of my coffee maker. Overall I am satisfied with this product. I ran it on the…

Works perfectly. The most economical way to buy for home use.

This product is a 2 pound commercial version of Dezcal for home use packaged in a box with 4 x 1 ounce envelopes (that's 2 heaping tablespoons in an envelope). The recommended dose is one envelope per application. So, the home use version costs $1.50 per application, while the commercial version costs about $0.041 per application, which is probably cheaper than using white vinegar. It is designed to be mixed with water, then poured into a water tank and brewed in a coffee maker to remove hard…

So far, so good. Use about 3 tablespoons for 4 cups of water

I bought this for home use after my favorite fancy coffee maker died from never descaling the heating element. Because of limescale and deposits on the heating element, I did not understand that the machine had to work more and more to heat the water and then in the end the heating element died and now this coffee maker is in the trash can and many suffered for several days until I could replace her. So I learned an expensive lesson and now use this descaler regularly to prevent buildup on the…

The most efficient, easiest and cheapest. This is used by professionals.

You can't go wrong here. Non-toxic, but **highly** effective and inexpensive. I used this once on a Breville kettle that has been used daily without descaling for almost a decade. The inside looked like it had a layer of glue smeared on it until I descaled it with descaler. After one treatment, the kettle looked cleaner than the day it was bought. Since the graphic instructions are far from perfect, here they are in printed form: Use the powder to make the grout. Proper ratio: 2 tablespoons to…

, this has been my favorite product for about 10 years. My app descales a single boiler Rancilio espresso machine. I descale every three weeks (domestic use in urban areas with a total hardness of 5.53 grains/gallon). Espresso shots are noticeably tastier and more enjoyable immediately after descaling, and more consistent from shot to shot. Maybe every two weeks would be better. Conclusion: If you use your espresso machine in an area with minerals in the water, you need to descale it regularly.
