I put a dog harness around the center headrest in the back seat. Works perfectly. Attach to the harness where you would attach the leash and you are done. I like that it's adjustable. I put a non-slip bath mat on the seat to keep my dog from slipping. She loves it. I'm glad I bought this item.

These harnesses are perfect, I'll actually throw my other ones away. They are the best because they go through the headrest that keeps the dog centered in the seat. Other harnesses hook into the car's seat belt latch, allowing the dog to approach the driver instead of being centered. I've actually attached other seat belts through the headrest, but they weren't designed to work that way. This. So if you are looking for a seat belt, look no further, buy this one.

I have several harnesses for my dogs and different harnesses. I don't think I've ever seen a review of how these hold up in a fall which is why I only gave it 4 stars.
