RED FRED is not pointing north!

Something is wrong, this compass does not always point north. Ordering a new compass from another company! (Yes, I know how compasses work)

It's really a waste

This toy does not work. I wanted to return it and they don't allow returns. Make sure you read all reviews. It really is a waste of $8

Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

I strongly recommend not to order and choose this product.

Do not buy! I ordered 4 for the Boy Scout walk and 1 Compass South. The rest is a bit out of line. Revain does not allow you to return faulty items. I strongly recommend not ordering this product and choosing a better one. It would be advisable to spend a little more for better quality.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Does not fit all

Cheap shit in the compass

Just received two of these compasses. One of them is broken (the arrow is stuck and won't move no matter which way you point it). It's totally useless. The other one is fine, but Revane refuses to take the broken compass that was sent to me. If I had bought this at a hardware store I would have seen before I bought it that it was broken. Not happy with the Compass or Revine. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more to get a good compass.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Great compass that serves its purpose!

This compass was perfect for our girls camp. The markings are clear and the front panel moves easily, making it easy to sort the components. The cord that came with the kit attached easily so you could wear it around your neck. We had to buy a couple for our campers to get the price right. We needed 12 and for some reason they came from two different sellers but both packages arrived a few days apart. They arrived quite quickly and were well packaged. If you are looking for a simple but…

Point south, not north!

If I could put a zero, I would. I should have read the other reviews. It points south first, not north. Second, the tip of the arrow isn't colored green or red, so it looks like someone forgot to color it. Inside the magnifying glass is a bubble that you need to lift above the paper to work. I figured it could stay flat and grow as it's meant to be used on a paper map for navigation. The compass floats freely in the air and not in the liquid, which I personally don't like due to the intended…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No instructions

We bought these for Cub Scout activities. I don't know if they hold up to daily wear and tear but they survived a day with boys aged 5-11 and we may be able to use them again in the future. We bought a Silva compass for comparison. You can clearly see that the Silva has excellent build quality, but for an item that is more likely to be damaged or lost due to small, wild hands, they have done a great job. Compass quality was good, just as accurate as the Silva in our use. Basically, it's the…

Pros
  • PRACTICAL: Lightweight compact chart compass with detachable cord
Cons
  • I'm writing back

Pros: price, adjustable body, basic functionality Cons.

Pros: Price, adjustable body, basic functionality Cons: Needle occasionally breaks from the jeweled bearing it sits on, no tilt adjustment, no scope/mirror. is really the main compass. If that's all you need, this is a good product. However, my needle fell out of the jeweled bearing (aka the piece of metal in the center of the needle where the needle sits). This would result in the needle remaining stationary and not pointing to magnetic north. It caused some confusion the first time, but a…
