I use them all the time on 6061 aluminum projects with no problems. If you read other reviews I can tell you that they have no idea what they are doing. If you know the feed and speed for your material, they will last. If you plan to use these small end mills, use coolant or mist with adequate chip evacuation.

Pros: Average side milling quality when you make smaller passes than usual. Cons: Very poor center cut and bottom recess design, what the almost impossible to cut in. The pitches are very small, the cutters struggle with straight plunging and almost no difference in plunging.

Even with very small divisions, the knives have a hard time with straight cuts and make almost no difference when cutting at an angle.

I like these bits but don't use them on CNC machines. I use them to drill very small holes in seashells for crafts and jewelry making. They drill and cut very well and will not split shells like a normal twist drill. It also cuts sideways, which is very useful when cutting small parts. After the first order I ordered 3 more packs. The bits don't last long and dull quickly, which is their only downside. I am very satisfied and will order more in the future.

These beats are okay at best. And I'm pretty generous. Even when cutting clean pine (no knots) at very low feeds and speeds (0.005 inch depth per pass, feed rate 25 ipm, piercing speed 12.5 ipm) these bits keep breaking. I literally went through three beats on my first cut. I had to go all the way to a depth of .002" per pass to get through the cut. That's outrageously petty.
