Description of Uxcell Wrench Adjustable Straight Tapping Industrial Power & Hand Tools
Tap Wrench: Fit tap size: M6-M14 (Mertic)/ 3mm-13mm. Die-casting body and steel knurled handle offers high hardness and wear resistance for long service life. Applications: Hand tap wrench can clamp various taps for tapping operations. It also can be used with drills, reamers, screw extractors and other small tools that need to be rotated manually. Features: Tap wrench has 1 rigid handle and 1 adjustable handle that adjusts the jaws to clamp tools easily and firmly. Straight tap wrench provides great leverage, and is specially designed for larger-diameter taps. Easy To Use: Operates with both hands to rotate the tap wrench in a certain direction to process, repair and clean the internal thread. Tips: The force of both hands must be even when operating the tap wrench. The wrench and the tap should form an angle of 90 degrees, and the tap and the threaded bottom hole are perpendicular to each other.
Surprisingly very tight collar. I'm a bit heavy but seems balanced. The handle that is on the side of the stationary anvil kept coming loose so I smeared it with Loctite and fixed the problem. The knurled surfaces of the handles are quite rough for a hand-pushed tool. In the end I sanded them down a bit with sandpaper. But overall if you are looking for a cheap collar this collar is worth the dollar.
When I opened it I tried to open the wrench but it got stuck and I couldn't get in. After some work he finally got lost. The design involves screwing the moving anvil to the handle, but then piercing it to catch some of the threads. Removing the set screw would also cause it to fall apart. Once opened wide enough I was able to thread 1/2"-13 holes with relative ease. It's sturdy and has nice solid handles. I would buy it again.
