I bought this sun hat for my 5 year old daughter to protect her from the sun. Her head is a little bigger than the average 5 year old so I bought a size large. It fits great. I think the hat fits a little weird. The edge doesn't reach the right spot on her head, maybe it's still too small. The hat is loose but offers good protection from the sun. This little bucket hat is SO CUTE! Good sun protection - the brim is wide enough to provide shade all around. Fits well - my little grandson is 12 months old and the S just fits him perfectly and will remain so for a while. Dries quickly - he wore them playing in the garden and on the fender and is still very light even when wet. Dries very quickly, especially on sunny days.
