Valvoline is excellent for transmission fluid

I liked this transmission fluid for my Toyota Camry and Avalon. It is always good to change the fluid every 2 years. This fluid requires this fluid and more are available at auto parts stores. The condition of the old one was brown so replacing it was a good idea.

Pros
  • High score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Has deficiencies

Great replacement for a Honda OE and LOTS less money

If you're draining and topping up transmission oil this is for you! Right off the bat you get better shifts, smoother operation and it will NOT harm the Honda Trans who is very picky about the fluids it uses. For this reason it is highly recommended on many Honda websites. Great price here at Revain too!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Problems

Value for money quality product and unbeatable price

Excellent base fluid for transmission and power steering flushing. I can buy it by the liter from Revain for what my local auto parts store charges per liter. Fantastic offer! I'll leave it in the truck for a few months and then switch to something synthetic for better temperature stability.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So-so

Good for TH350 Suitable for transmission fluids

This is the blood of the TH350 transmission and works well in our custom rigs. Even a small amount of water will destroy the paper seals in the gearbox and require repair, so I change the fluid frequently. You can't beat having Prime delivered to your door. You can save nearly half your dollar by checking out the two-week up-and-down cycle here.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • No automatic transmission

Valvoline DEXRON/MERCON Automatic Transmission Fluid

Valvoline products are well known and respected in the automotive industry, and with good reason. You can rely on them to perfect the work they are designed for. The price of this particular product is around $3.50 per liter in Revain which is really hard to beat, especially considering it is a very well known and trusted brand.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Doubt

EXACTLY WHAT THE TRANS SHOP SAID USE

1982 GM 6.2 liter diesel. Much confusion on the web/search. "GM says DEX 6 fully synthetic gear oil outperforms all previously required fluid types." I read, over and over. Shemale shop that has always been here, great shop says Dex 6 is too skinny for this old shemale. Transmission and labor can cost $7500 now, so I change this fluid often. A stack of cases of this gear oil is cheaper than a tow truck to bring a broken down car to the loading station!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not bad
