I was happy to find different sized stainless steel jump rings in one pack. So many of the rings I buy are pretty brittle and I knew the SS would be strong. That's why I gave it four stars instead of five. Although they love power, they (especially small ones) are difficult to open and close unless you have very thin needle nose pliers. But since I can't have strength AND ease with them, I choose strength and will live with the occasional problem opening/closing them.

I recently decided to get into the jewelry business. I bought about 8 jump rings from Hobby Lobby for the same price as this VAST set. .The ones I bought at Hobby Lobby I could open and close with my fingers. I could NOT open, close or even adjust them with my fingers, they are really very strong. A word of caution, and I'm not deducting stars for that, but the container was so full that when I opened it jump rings were flying everywhere, so be careful when you open it.

I used these link rings on my sterling silver chain bracelets to replace some of the link rings that had opened up and twisted. I used to replace these jump rings with ones that were supposed to be sterling silver but have rusted. Although they are a little darker silver than the chains, at least I know they won't rust. After putting them on the bracelets, I smeared their opening part with some glue to make sure they wouldn't open if I hung them on something. For those of you who have split…
