Good (rather unique) HD cooler.

I had this unit before (of the same mold) but from a different manufacturer. I had two of these on my home theater PC and when I decided to add a third drive I needed another (with the intention of keeping the unit cool and quiet and extending system life). Note that you must leave the slot under the hard drive empty for this. • Positive only
Cons
  • Weak kit

Works perfectly! on internal disks

I have a Dell Studio XPS and the airflow is poor. Next time I'll build my own - Antec case, Asus board, etc. According to CrystalDisk, this Vantec hard drive cooler reduced the temperature of my hard drive significantly. Thanks for a great product. -- Grow[.]

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

I connected it directly to my power supply via the driver port and it works great. I was also surprised by a very bright blue LED, which I didn't notice in the advertisement. Any…

Pros

Cons
  • Almost everything is included

Does exactly what it should.

Reduces drive temperature to a much safer level and extends drive life. Requires additional space under the drive, which is not usually a problem.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expensive

Cool Blue Internal Hard Drives

Greatly reduces the heat of the SATA drive I connected it to -- What else can I say? "This is what I was hoping for when I bought the cooler and it looks like it did the job.

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Nothing
