I added superglue when gluing the parts to the camera

I was looking for an alternative to hang the security camera outside without putting screws in the brick porch. I added super glue when gluing the pieces to the camera, but I didn't glue the camera to my porch ceiling. Velcro holds very well. That's great. Very strong. I've had a camera since I got this velcro and it's survived wind, rain, heavy snow storms and extreme cold. It's extremely hard work and sticks like glue.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No power

Water poured and peeled off the wall

First, they mislead the holding power. Fine print is 1 psi. (The £15 claim is odd as there are 20 square inches of Velcro). I put about 10 pounds of velcro on the smooth wall. Total weight was about 5 pounds. They got wet (they're an OUTDOOR size, that seems to be expected) and half of them started falling off the wall after a day. The water clearly entered from behind and severely weakened the connection. I can say I've had better luck with the durable 3M where both sides have plastic teeth…

VELCRO holds my curtains!

I've struggled with cornices since I moved into this apartment; Each window is a different size and the paint used has a glossy, slippery finish. Also (and this might shock you) I'm on the 1st floor so my window panes tend to slow down when the cars come back to the parking lot and slip through in the winter. Honestly, I don't know how I got the idea to use velcro, but I did. I bought 2 Extreme Outdoor reels because they were thicker and had more holding power. The soft side was glued to the…

Buy it, find a use.

This is velcro. I use it a lot around the house. You don't even realize how handy it is until you put it in your tool box. Useful advice for elderly/demented/blind relatives or patients. Cut some off and use as a tactile marker on appliances etc. My mum spent 10 minutes inflating microwave teabags because she pressed the wrong button due to low vision. You get two small squares. one on the minute button and one on the start. Microwaves last a lot longer :) But seriously, I've adjusted a lot of…

A great, non-destructive way to mount acoustic panels!

VELCRO Brand - Extreme Outdoor - Extreme - 4" x 1" Strips, 10 Set - Titanium I just bought an apartment and converted a dark, ugly bedroom into a bright, bright recording studio. After four coats of paint (primer and then three coats of peach) I did NOT want to drive 32 large screws into the walls with drywall sleeves to hold the acoustic panels and panels! The fiberglass acoustic panels seemed light enough for velcro but I wanted to make sure they were the strongest available as these panels…

as strong as welded steel. Amazing Things

Good. I use a lot of velcro. I very often attach things like communications gear, power packs etc to helmets used in 200 mile races, motorcycle races and also for use in open cockpit airplanes. I've spent thirty years searching for the best Velcro and found that some are better than others. I thought the double lock type was the best, but these are minor things. This is the stuff of legends. Today I attached a small strip to the power supply, then to the helmet and realized I put it in the…

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • Some Bugs

The Velcro brand is not exaggerating when they call these fasteners "industrial strength". All too often, brands make a "boosted" version of their core product that ends up not being much different, if at all. But these hook and loop fasteners are far superior to ordinary hook and loop fasteners in quality and strength. I am very impressed with their strength! I bought one of these hanging mesh curtains to put in the sliding glass door to my apartment balcony where there is no mesh. My ceilings
