I used to use 3M microfiber kitchen towels but I might like these even better. They are quite dense and thick, and very close to a square (no rectangles or parallelograms). And I love that they sell them by the dozen because I use 2-3 a day. They will leach some brown/grey paint (I've had gray ones) into the dishwater, especially when they're new. I wash them in hot water with dark towels and line dry them and they hold up well.

Great towels, super absorbent. I noticed that they were vacuum packed in a thin plastic bag. They were so compressed by the vacuum that they didn't fill up until I washed and dried them. They didn't seem to be of very good quality until they finally puffed up after drying. Don't be intimidated when you first unwrap them, just wash them and as with all microfiber towels don't use fabric softener and I just let mine air dry. Big size for small jobs and in the kitchen. I couldn't be happier.

I use them with cold makeup remover. They fade A LOT in linen, even after multiple washes, so don't mix them with anything light. Is always. My wife wanted a bathroom color different than the yellow Costco towel. It was the best color choice for the bathroom. She uses them to easily wipe up water splashes around the sink. The absorbency isn't as good as the yellow microfiber towels found at most or all Costco stores, plus they're smaller and about the size of a good washcloth.
