Verbatim DVD-R 4.7GB 16X White Inkjet Printable - Pack of 100, 100-Disc Spindle (95153) Review

I tried the first 10 DVDs and they were not recognized by 3 different burners. I also tried 10 more from different places on the end of the spindle and they didn't work either. I switched to another unprinted Verbatim model and had no problems.

I like Verbatim discs, but they (left) have a large unprintable center. I was expecting the small center (like the one on the right) that I received in the Verbatim 25 package and that's important to me. I've tried re-reading the description but still don't see anything to tell me that the middle section is printing.

All DVDs and CDRs stink, especially when first opened, but they are exceptionally powerful. I've been through 100 spindles of another brand and they don't smell great, but this brand stinks throughout my office. My spindle is halfway through and I think I'll just give it away and go back to the old brand. I've already inhaled those toxic fumes, I don't want any more! Although they work fine.

Very good price but I haven't used it yet. I would give 5 stars for the price but the box it came in must have some sort of filler to keep 100 very heavy rims from moving. The bottom of the disc case was broken. The only reason the slices weren't in was because the plastic wrap held them together. The disc case couldn't be used so I moved it to other cases which I kept.

After a few OK burns I started having SEVERAL issues where I got an error message and didn't want to burn the DVD and had to throw it away. I didn't count the first few times as I've had occasional bad discs in previous batches. I think I threw away 25-30 discs that didn't burn out. I've always thought of Verbatim DVDs as a reliable brand. I'm not sure I'll try them again. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Even with the reduced price?, I didn't get my money's worth.

300 Verbatim discs were bad for about 4-5 discs out of 20 while using 300 by these guys. I thought it might be my burner so I went and bought a stack of ten DVD-Rs and they all recorded great. I had to order 100 more DVD-Rs and this time bought MaxTek. All of them (40) are perfect at the time of writing. I was very upset because I couldn't finish burning a DVD. I received media write errors at various stages of the burning process. Tried to write at different speeds - to no avail. After about 20 crashes with my 2010 iMac I got my 2012 Mac Book Air with USB Superdrive and everything works as expected, no errors. Several DVDs were completed with no problems.
