Not bad for cutting sheet metal but mediocre for cutting round bar

These shears cut sheet metal quite well. He's having trouble cutting a 1/4" round bar of cold rolled steel. For the round bar I used a desktop bolt cutter, they work better and require less effort.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Minor problems

Bad design! in Food Waste Disposal Parts & Accessories

Terrible Design! Impossible to use it due to bad design. The blade does not jam and does not cut anything. You could probably spend an hour or two just getting the blade clean. Now I have to retract it for a refund. Don't waste your money on this crap.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Boring Packaging

Poor design or manufacture

I just bought these scissors mainly for cutting 3/16 inch rod. It appeared to be well made and sturdy, but the hole in the blade that was meant to cut the rod doesn't line up with the hole in the frame. Not even close and there's no way to insert a piece of pole of any size. I'm going to try and redrill the hole in the frame and see if I can get it to work.

Good upgrade to a 12 " shear from my old Enco 6 " shear

Good product at a good price. The same scissors (or at least similar ones) are sold by several other companies on Revain and eBay. It's heavy, over 50 pounds. This is a nice upgrade from my 6 inch scissors (old Enco) and is much more powerful with a longer cut. The small 6 inch scissors have ergonomic advantages when working with small sheet metal workpieces, but the added benefit of being able to cut to size and thickness made the upgrade worth it.

So close. for parts and accessories

I really like these scissors. Firm, well aligned and very sharp. However, the handle was not bolted, the bolt holes being 3/4 inch further apart than their scissor counterparts. Sawing off 2 inches and drilling another hole is fine, but it requires removing a few sprockets. Also, the four support legs are bent, probably during shipping, it doesn't matter as it's easy enough to bend them against the bench. All in all I would buy it again and recommend it. It's a small "kit" but well worth the…

Compact size for its cutting ability

Sturdy construction tool, no instructions included but installing a 16" handle and threading a thread into the part that holds the metal to be cut is self explanatory (see photo No. 3 ) ). . The base simply attached to the $40 WEN Grinder socket with no holes to drill. Mounting hardware is included with scissors which is a plus. 19.0 x 6.0 cm for you metric people. Scissors won't cut a full 5" width, so allow for 4 1/2" and I believe the thickness could be greater with a longer handle. The…
