A complete piece of junk

Let's start with that. I am again disappointed with the Victrola brand. It has all the necessary tools to be a great player but .Cons: 1st. It will not connect to ANY Bluetooth devices. I tried 5 different speakers (soundbar, headphones, headset and 2 different speakers). 2. the bowl is "uneven" and you can see it rising and falling. unable to find the "sweet" spot to equalize the fourth hand. The speed control step with strobe is a joke, it only "fits" at 45rpm not 33rpm, and at 33rpm you can…

Much better than expected!

Bought to replace a very cheap turntable I bought years ago (from a radio store in Albuquerque). I knew it was something special when I picked up the box that was on the doorstep. A very strong feeling. It's belt-driven, but it has many control settings previously only found on my old direct-drive turntable, including pitch control, skip protection, and tonearm balance; The lever itself appears to be one piece with a die-cast aluminum (not plastic) stylus mount. The base unit is heavy, which is

Audio Technica vm95 cartridge upgrade

I collect old turntables, I've had Technics, Garrard and so on. This Victrola is not bad except for the money and the fact that the shells are not removable as Victrola says. I also upgraded to a Revain Audio Technica VM95 cartridge as a return item. I show that you can upgrade it and get much better sounding AT-95 E or VM95 series pickups. I'm also including a sound clip for you to judge, okay. I also show you pictures. Revain replaced this current turntable due to some cables getting lost at…

Vinyl snobs berate Victrola, not this one.

This is a fantastic entry level player. It gives you some of the features of more expensive models, sounds great, and connects via Bluetooth and an RCA output. I bought some new records. They missed out on a $50 player with no weighted arm and anti-skate controls. You didn't miss this player. Key Features: Pitch Control Arm Counterbalance Anti-Skating Strobe Light Logo on Front (I didn't get a chance to use the USB recording feature) Had trouble connecting to Bluetooth speakers initially, but…

As others have said, great for beginners

I had high hopes for this as it's quite difficult to find counterbalanced and anti-skate turntables on Amazon. BUT: I warn you that the weight is NOT properly calibrated and is of poor quality. When the dial is rotated, they don't rotate as they should, resulting in the pressure on the needle being much higher than what you set (yes, even after balancing). There's also a high-pitched squeak on startup (I say squeak because it's not a hum or buzz). Thankfully it's not normally audible over the…

Solid player for the price. Bluetooth works great!

Pretty easy build and great sound! I was a little worried because some reviews said they couldn't connect via Bluetooth. It took a few tries to toggle the pairing button, but it works great with my Bose speaker. I think people who complain are used to connecting a device to a screen. it's a bit different. In any case, this looks like user error, not a device malfunction. There's also a slightly negative video review on YouTube about it, but the guy didn't read the instructions or set up the…

Ignore the negative review - great player!

Previous complaints that I have read in other reviews did not apply to me. Much of this was accomplished by following the instructions in the owner's manual or resetting things like adjusting the counterweight or installing the sheave. I accidentally messed up the counterweight and had to reset it. I tried unsuccessfully for 30 minutes because I misread the instructions. When I realized my mistake, the factory reset took less than a minute. A check revealed that the drive was unbalanced. I also

Reliable player but BT hit or miss

Overall, for me, this player offers key features that weren't offered in other models at a similar or higher price - tone arm balance, sync flash and native Bluetooth connectivity. Also needed a dust cover and the USB output was a nice plus. First the bad: the sync strobe runs (stays stationary) at 45 rpm but not at 33 rpm, so I'd say not as advertised. Bluetooth connectivity, as others have reported, is also extremely unreliable; Sometimes I connected both headphones and speakers with no…
