I was having issues with frequent crashes when running Solidworks with a 24" Dell and Nvidea graphics card. Instead of replacing the expensive driver ($600), I decided to upgrade the monitor. I've had this monitor for 3 months now, it's fantastic. Plug and play, no problem, no dead pixels, blacks are deep and colors are rich. What a strange coincidence. The monitor is not bad. However, the UPS I connect it to does something strange. Other devices will work with it, but not all, including the monitor. This is a great monitor without spending a fortune. With a little fiddling with brightness and contrast, a very good picture. The only drawback is that there is no soundbar. If you're looking for a big screen monitor at a great price, this monitor is hard to beat. I bought a refurbished model for the lowest price I could find, it came unmarked. It looks like new and works great. High resolution image, text is crisp and looks great. I also have a 32 inch ViewSonic TV which I am very happy with. In the near future I will buy the LED version of this monitor. I expect it will get even better.

I work from home and sit at the computer more than 10 hours a day. The large screen REALLY improves productivity, especially when using Excel or detailed PowerPoint presentations. The ability to quickly shrink a cell is greatly enhanced when it's large enough to be seen. Ideal for showing screens to people in the office. (We used to squint at the 17" screen, now we can all see the screens without any problems. Colors are great. HDMI works too. No problem with 1920x1080.

Pros: If you don't need an active amplifier or built-in speakers, you can live with a DVI-D output. HDMI support is a waste of audio/video output capabilities. I bought two new Revain monitors in November 2012. I had a good deal for her on Black Friday. Since then they have been working perfectly. At the time, I was considering buying higher resolution monitors, but the price for a 27-inch, 2560 x 1440 monitor would have been more than double. I first connected them to a computer to display large Excel spreadsheets on two 27" monitors. They're so big that I now use them as little TVs when I'm watching online on two different computers.

First, since the resolution is 1080p, you really start to see pixels on a 27-inch screen. Your eyes will get used to it after a while, but at first it's unsettling. I bought this product because it was exactly the size I was looking for and the lowest price I've seen in this class. I think it was the perfect choice as it is exactly what it should be, a 27 inch HD monitor. The screen is matte, so glare isn't a huge issue unless it's in direct sunlight. I say don't worry about buying the LED version, this product itself is very thin and light. If you think about it, stop twiddling your thumbs and just do it, you won't regret it.

If you have used a Mac Cinema this display will only ruin your day and force you to deal with just one Mac Cinema or buy 2 Macs. But for $300 or less, you have a good quality bang for the buck. This is perfect for my daughter.

I was looking forward to such a large monitor. I've had problems where my computer didn't save the recommended settings for the monitor. Viewsonic says it's a computer issue and I can agree, but as it only comes with a VGA cable and not a DVI cable I believe this is a limitation as VGA doesn't allow the possibility offers to display 1920 x 1080 "natively” " screen resolution. The 27-inch Viewsonic VA2703 monitor was advertised with built-in speakers. Since I couldn't find any audio inputs, I called Viewsonic and they told me that this monitor doesn't have built-in speakers. Otherwise, I find the video quality very good with fast response times.

I bought this monitor from Revain based on feedback from various people and thank them for taking the time to write great reviews. The picture quality, brightness and HD quality are amazing.
