I actually took a chance and got this jacket for longsword training. None of the standard fencing jackets fit my budget or were attractive. I can wear it with or without a removable liner and a t-shirt, but with a thick cotton sweatshirt instead. Many nice features include removable panels and lockable vents. --UPDATE 11/24/14 -- I have worn this jacket several times at highway speeds (60+mph) in 30F weather several times. With the lining and thermal shirt, my body stayed damn warm.
