As a loyal consumer of Industrial and Scientific products, I was quite disappointed with the performance of this device. As a result of using this item, I found that it was not accurate enough for precise measurements required in an industrial setting. While it may be sufficient for general use, it simply does not meet the necessary standards for precise dimensional measurements.

I use it to measure sub-millimeter parts in mechanical watch movements. I bought a cheaper version with plastic sponges. It was useless for my purposes. I love this product. It's well built, accurate and comes in a nice compact package.

Just received and unpacked today. Here's what we saw in the first 10 minutes of processing: Positive moments -1. Looks good looking.2.Sliding back and forth 10 times always returns to zero except the very first time Cons -1.The scale given on the slide is only marked in large units of 10 millimeters and one inch, no less, hence it is useless as a substitute for digital reading.2.The edges of the sliding caliper teeth are very sharp and can easily scratch the surface of the target.This applies…
