Suitable for my cutting boards

Odorless and tasteless, suitable for food, therefore suitable for food surfaces. It works just as well as other mineral oils I used to use to grease my cutting boards. So far I've had 3 mineral oils from 3-4 different brands to dress up my cutting boards and haven't really found much difference in quality, so I recommend using the cheapest food grade mineral oil from a brand you trust.

Great oil for my cutting board!

I have a large cutting board that needs maintenance. I have Vine Homecare food grade mineral oil that helps condition cutting board wood and protects it from drying out and cracking. It restores wooden kitchen utensils and protects them from everyday wear and tear. It's 100% mineral oil, food grade and won't hurt me. It restores a healthy shine to dull wood without drying out or cracking. Helps protect wood from water damage. I will use it to maintain my cutting board.

Good quality oil, the bottle is full of holes.

This mineral oil bottle was delivered covered with oil that leaked out during transport. The bottle doesn't have a tamper evident seal (which it should if it's advertised as a food product) and the cap is loose so inevitably it will leak. That issue aside, the oil itself is clear, easy to use, and fairly effective. In less than an hour I restored 3 large wooden spoons, 2 layers of butter, a medium cutting board, a countertop on a smaller dining room table and a knife block! The oil absorbs…

It looks like expensive mineral oil.

I ordered this because I thought it might be something special. It seems that this is just an expensive edible mineral oil. You can typically get a 16-ounce bottle locally for less than $4, with tops at around $8 for the same amount. This product costs around $14 and costs significantly more. Food grade mineral oil has many uses, but we typically use it to treat wooden utensils, cutting boards, and even kitchen cabinets and countertops. It glides on easily like most oils and is odorless and…

Suitable for wooden utensils

I don't know what to say about mineral oil that is different from all the others. This is a nice clear food grade mineral oil that comes packaged in a well sealed bottle and arrives in good condition. I didn't notice any odor or odor when using it, which to me says it's pretty clean. I used it to update some wooden spoons and knife handles that were starting to look old and weathered and it did the job perfectly. effortlessly and left the wood looking fresh and new by slightly darkening it and…

A good way to maintain my wooden bowls is with edible mineral oil...

I don't use wood chopping blocks but I have some very old bowls. These bowls are quite old and I use them every day. In one I have fruit on the counter. I decided to try Vine Homecare food grade edible mineral oil. These shells can crack when dry. I poured some in the center and wiped with a microfiber cloth. It lightened and darkened the wood and apparently seeped into the fibers. There are other wood surface restorers and preservatives I could use on these bowls, but they are far from food…

Works well but the bottle is not sealed.

I have never greased my wooden cutting boards or utensils with mineral oil - it was usually butter on a rag after finishing my cast iron after cleaning if I was using a wooden tool and felt it was too became dry. After noticing that some of the tools looked and felt dry and gritty, I decided to try mineral oil and treat all the wood in my kitchen. There were so many that I collected them all in one place! Teak spatulas, beech spatulas, bread boards and old spoons made from unfamiliar woods…
