They have been just great to me. I was struggling to attach something to the outside wall of my porch with vinyl siding. I didn't want to hammer nails in. These clips are great. They didn't stick to my vinyl trim at all. I don't know if there is enough overhang on the vinyl or not, but they broke immediately when a weight was put on them (not to mention the advertised 12lbs). certainly. So remember that they are ONLY suitable for normal horizontal panelling.

I bought these hooks to hang my 48ft solar patio lights over the garage and vinyl siding of the house. I didn't want to drill or make holes in my siding to hang lights and there were no gutters to attach lights.
