I've never had a crimping tool like this but I needed to shorten the MC4 cable so I bought one. Works perfectly. I feel like I have a very strong connection.

The tools worked as they should, judging by their design they look like they will last a long time, great price. I've used the 5x more expensive one and for what I use it for it's great, no issues or complaints.

Works very well. The only problem is that when the crimp can get stuck in the closed position on something other than what it's designed for, it's very difficult to depress the release lever and open it again if you can't close it all the way . Again, this works great for what it's supposed to be.

They worked great but since they snap make sure you don't use them on anything larger than the tool can handle. I tried crimping something else with them and they didn't close completely, so the crimping tool didn't open again to pull the object out. Had to tap on the handles to close the crimping tool to open it again. They need to be repaired because they didn't break. Lesson learned. I've made about 20 crimps on MC4 connectors with them, they're easy to use and work perfectly.

wow what a difference what a good reliable connection. I replaced some MC4 boards with MC3 connections and it wasn't a really good connection that I thought would hold up with a normal set of crimping tools. So I figured out $15 or burned more connections for $1 each. Needless to say, I'm glad I waited. Remember to squeeze the joint slightly to fit the jaws (tool for small or connector for long idk) and make sure you put the bottom u in the small part and the top u in the wide curved part. and…
