Soft amber glow - bulbs

Looks very neat. The light they give off is like candlelight - very yellow and soft. There's nothing wrong with that - it's beautiful. However, if you are looking for good lighting, this is not it.

Strange use but great effect

I bought these to create a faux tube amp to create atmosphere when listening to music. I built a "tube lamp" with 4 bulbs. The lamps are rheostat so I can make them bright or just warm. You get used to it within a few hours most days and I haven't had a single burnout yet.

Runs pretty hot but great so far

Great value for money. I just installed them and the color and brightness is the same for all bulbs. I hope that doesn't change. I love the spiral thread, it gives it an antique look. I noticed that they heat up very quickly compared to similar lamps from another manufacturer.
