Great for app

Not sure if this helped or not. The coolant temp is still fluctuating on the gauge, so it's probably working fine. Anyway, it didn't solve my problem. Installs and fits nicely in my 1995 Explorer 4 liter V6 engine.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Something else

89 Bronco 5.0 in Coolant Temperature

This temperature sensor is located above and in front of the intake manifold. The threads matched my Bronco 5.0 perfectly and the temp sensor works great now. My sensor is now on the "N" of normal. I had to crimp the tab to use the nut that comes with the sensor. but you might not have to.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Some Little Things

Slightly longer than OEM but works perfectly!

Replaced temp sensor on my 1991 Ford F-350 7.5L Gas. (460 motor) This new temp sensor fits very well, although I did notice that the electrode is a bit longer and the connector friction fit needs some crimping to keep it on the threaded connector and not fall off. Looks a little different than the OEM, but still works. As it is, it works perfectly. Driven a bit, the temperature sensor works perfectly. Would buy again. Though I hope you don't!

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Not the best

Coolant Temperature Dashboard Sensor

This is a dashboard sensor for Ford 4.0L. 4.0 uses 2 sensors, one for the sensor and the other for the computer. This sensor has no effect when checking for an incorrect coolant temperature code. I ordered this after a computer sensor replacement because my dash sensor was erratic. While this didn't completely fix the faulty sensor, it "narrowed" the area my sensor was showing. Before installing my gauge crept into the overheating range and then dropped sharply to cold, now it just fluctuatesโ€ฆ
