I purchased this coat in red and I liked it so much that I purchased a second one in blue. This coat is very nice. It protects my greyhounds from getting wet when it rains and keeps them warm. They really like it too, as they don't like the rain. Well-designed and easy to get on a wiggling puppy. Sizing isn't critical. It's large now for my puppy but that'a okay--so long as I don't stick his rear legs into the elastic bands. Because the elastic bands are loose enough to end up covering anus; poop ends up getting smeared. The solution: ignore the rear elastic bands. I expect that, when the puppy outgrows size XS, we'll get a larger one.

I love how this jacket goes onto my dog! Put it over the head and the breastplate slides between the front legs, and attacheson top on the back, just behind the front legs with only one Velcro fastener. My dog loves it too! Despite careful measurement and consideration of the manufacturers size chart this jacket did not fit. Plus, it was really insufficient to cover his shoulders. I did not expect full length coverage for my rather long dog, but shoulders! That's a minimum requirement.Warmth factor was also minimal, and it lacked the ease which needs to be built into a jacket for an active dog. No thank you.

I have a small dog with an odd little body - he is 24 pounds of muscle with a 17" neck, broad chest, with little legs and a long body. He is a terrier mix often confused for a pit bull puppy or a corgi or dachshund mix. How many ways did this disappoint? Flimsy material, could NOT keep a dog warm, our male dog hated the straps going over back legs and if you cut the straps off the fabric was so flimsy the back would just curl up. I finally got another coat by Petrageous Designs Juneau and are now prepared for the frigid temps about to hit us.

Sizing is a little weird. I got the medium in red and it fits my little 15lb dog perfectly. I got the large in blue for my 20lb dog who is a little longer in the body and it's too big. We are dealing with it though because we are in rainy season and it's easy on, easy off and an actually pretty nice lining. I've recommended this model to a few people at the dog park. Not as nice as the $50 Hurta jacket I bought the little one a few years ago, but am totally happy with this purchase.

We have 2 Old English Mastiffs and an Irish doodle. They go in and out. I ordered 3X for the big boys and you can see they are coming out of them. Straps came undone quickly on all 3. The Irish doodle needed an XL. So. I think they run small. They do provide warmth. I just wish they had held up longer. The big boys aren’t incredibly active but these didn’t hold up very long. Price was fairly inexpensive so I suppose you get what you pay for. Would be suitable for limited use. I need heavy duty.

We have a Bassett hound/Beagle/Rescue mix & he is hard to fit. The first "rain coat" we got for him was a yellow slicker style. He's a solid 55 lbs so got an XL size. It fit great in his body, but was dragging the ground because he only has about 6 inch legs. The other problem was no place to attach his leash to harness. Runs a little big, but it seemed to be warm enough and comfortable for our Doberman through the wind, snow and freezing temps in PA. It's easy to put on and off and the rear leg straps are great on windy days. The only thing I would change is making the leg straps with a snap or button and/or an adjustable option.

I have a border collie/kelpie mix that weighs just over 50 lbs. He's usually right in between a medium and a large size, depending on the brand. I owned a similar style of jacket for our dog and had to get a new one, so selected this one. What a difference! The old jacket had velcor that attached on the front under the neck, which kept coming apart during walking. This jacket loops under the neck and chest and velcro on the top. This coat is vey light weight but faux fur lined on the inside which should be warm for cold winter walks in the snow. Haven't had snow yet so we'll see. I have a 70 lb dog with short hair. The sizing chart was helpful and the coat fits good.
