Thermal pad used for GTX 1080 classified

I bought a used GTX 1080 that was advertised on ebay and it knocked me out of the game at 83 degrees. I investigated the issue and found that a thermal pad is needed and evga is no longer giving them out. So I bought this element and installed it in the recesses of the radiator. And luckily for me it now reaches 94 degrees without jerks. Dude my card works so I bought another one for the sli setup. I also updated the dual bios from the nvidia website before installing the thermal pad.

Works very well. best in computer components

I first tried a heatsink on my new 1TB NVMe drive and the stress test results weren't very good. Then check the Dell service manual that says it and they recommend a thermal pad between the drive and the motherboard. The problem is they don't tell you how thick it should be. Used the end of a pair of calipers to take some measurements and concluded it should be either 4mm or 5mm. Tried 5mm first, bingo! The drive stays 15°C cooler than with a heatsink on top. Does what it should.

I have an old laptop from 2011, I put 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD in it, it helped a lot, but the processor was slow. I found a quad-core i7 from that era and bought it used, but it didn't work in the laptop, hit temperature limits very quickly and shut down. I tried "quality" thermal paste and it just didn't work. So I decided to try this, well it worked. I've also used it on an nVidia graphics chip and motherboard chipset controller. It works. There are no more problems with heating, I recommend…
