The old models are better than the new version.

I bought a second one after falling in love with the first one. but this love has changed One was noticeably different from the other as there were protective barriers to the left and right of the LEDs. After about 6 months, the three LEDs on the left became much less bright than the three on the far right. The silly thing is that the newer lamp failed first. I believe that different manufacturers of inferior LEDs are the reason for this. I "might" try to buy another one, hoping it's the same…

Perfect for 2 gallon Fluval Spec

I'm trying to meet the increased demand for my tiny 2 gallon Fluval Spec. The stock light looks good, but I'm afraid the power won't be enough for a hard landing. I bought this light as an upgrade and it is just perfect. It sits right over the center of the tank with a smaller arm (there are two arm sizes for larger tanks) and extends wall to wall giving me even coverage. As others have said, this is the 10000K version so expect it to be a bit more bluish and less yellowish than the 6500K…

Not my "go to " light.

I purchased this lantern in August 2015 to collect everything needed to start a saltwater aquarium. I installed it in a sanctuary under my tank in February 2016 and it has been running fine for about 10 months, only running 8 hours each night on a timer. Then, one by one, the diodes went out in the light. In February 2017 I finally removed it and threw it away because only three diodes worked, but were very weak. I wouldn't call this flashlight a long term option as it wore out so quickly…
