I really wish these vertical slats were foldable so I could put them in my laptop bag. The docking slots are great and both work, but the vertical fins don't fold in and out. I haven't used any cloning features or the SD card reader slots. I need a dual SATA dock so that I can copy data from both drives to the GigE NAS device (and from the NAS to the drives). The annoying thing is that when it's not plugged into a powered-on computer, not all ports get power. You cannot use the 2 front ports to

Perfect clone on first try.

I was pleasantly surprised that it works perfectly. Cloned a new laptop's hard drive to an SSD using the offline feature with no issues and booted up as expected. The offline instructions are actually accurate. They're simple but accurate, although I'll admit they need photo examples and some extra text to make it clear. At the end of the offline cloning, make sure you wait until all the blue lights are off, the 100% blue LED stops blinking, but the process is not complete until the blue is…

Easy way to add multiple drives

I bought this to replace a NAS 2 drive system that was too unreliable. I wanted two bays as I had 2 2TB drives. Setup was complicated by the fact that the NAS format was not recognized by my Windows machine. The instructions that came with the device helped me format it. The drive works well and even goes to sleep mode automatically. I can simply unmount the drive and replace one drive with the old spare drive. The cloning feature works and creates an exact copy of the original hard drive…

Works well and as advertised.

I bought this to help me upgrade my Toshiba 1TB HDD to a 2TB WD. I've tried some of the traditional software options, even the one that came with the new drive. There was a light breeze. Insert the source disk into the slot labeled Source and the new disk into the destination. Hold the button down until the indicators start flashing. Press, release and press again and copying will begin. This took about an hour. It even restored the recovery partition. Additional USB ports are convenient for…

New review May 9, 2020 You know when you read all the reviews and see the negatives next to the positives and you like it eh let me try and see which ones Side of the fence I land on? Yes. Be careful because this is one of those things you don't want to play with. How you interact with hard drives and what you use your hard drives for will vary. Some people might use it for extra storage, others might use it for reminders like photos, work, and anything else you don't want to lose. I lost…
